Ya about the FFT part i got some stuff for ya. the way to get cloud strife: go to the place where the girl asked you to buy a flower (village right next to zeltannia castle). buy the flower. then keep on playing the game till you activate the time machine cloud comes out and runs off. after that go to the volcano and fight there having somone with move find item). while you are fighting have the person with move find item go to the top of the volcano. he/she will find a materia blade. then after that kill all or what is left of your opponents. then go to the village where you bou ht the flower from the girl and there is a battle there. cloud strife is a guest and if you beet the battle without having strife die witch is easy if you bring orlandu or T.G.Cid in. after that cloud will join your party and you can give him the materia word. P.S. (he is only level one but once you get him to learn all his limit brakes he is powerful). Greetings there, fellow gamer...i have some confirmation on your 'rumors'. I have owned FF8 for a little over a week. I am currently on the fourth disk, which is the final disc. So far there are more FMV's, a new magic/summoning system (junctioning and drawing), there isn't materia either. You need to draw magic from enemies and drawpoints. There also isn't all materia, but instead, you have drawn magic called double and triple. There is no RedXIII. Cid is there, but completely different...and so is Bahumut w/ his 'mega-flare'. There is a ship called the 'Ragnarok', a former space craft. @ one point, squall and is launched into space with two of his comrades. Japan was released back in march. I do not know about the different universe thing, but eople are more concerned about world domination then mako. you can drive cars back and forth and even ride trains for a small fee. But with the cars, you have to buy your own fuel, (3500 Gil for one fuel). The game is more about the love between two y ung adults. The final boss is a sorceress from the future, to get to her, you have to un-seal the command abilities and junk by killing of her servants. she wants to compress time so that she can be the only one alive, but Squall and friends somehow ma age through it. all the characters shared the same childhood except for Rinoa. They all grew up in an orphaage, which Sorceress Edea was there matron, who became possessed and thought out to be the main bad person. You don't breed monsters, you 'aquire them, by drawing from or fighting enemies. The only 'mini-game' is the card games which is known through out the world....(for some reason, most of the people will want to play cards in a time of crisis....weird, huh?)
