I was born in a quiet little town of San Elisio in the province of Gallegos. My grandfather was a medicine man well versed in the old ways of healing. His life fascinated me. I followed him on his calls to the sick and dying, and watched as he gave hope in his cures and comfort in his failures.
I became consumed with wanting to know how the human body was put together and how it worked. I was drawn to animals when they died so that I could dissect them. Wanting to keep me safe from those who think me “ghoulish”, my parents sent me to the University at San Cristobal for the best of educations. It was hard work as I had to undo the years of superstitions that my grandfather taught me and I had to give up my own conclusions from years of working on animals. I was not all that willing to do so.
It was at the University that I met my one true love, Inez., a beautiful woman with eyes like black diamonds. She was a swordswoman and very good. We spent many lovely afternoons together, she teaching me the way of swords and I teaching her the science I was learning and the superstitions that I knew so well.
Then the War of the Cross ended. My country got a share of Eisen lands. Inez was called away to protect what the King had acquired. I was very sorry to see her go. She promised to write and return. Several months later, after not hearing from her, I went into that foreign land to search for her.
It was on that trip that my life changed forever.
It was there that I met my new friends Johann and Jean-Luc when we encountered a being that did not belong on Theus’ world. We took its remains back to the Kippe Academy in Tannen where they faked our deaths and we joined the dark and morbid world of Die Kreuzritter.
Of concern to me is that I like my world dark and morbid. I do enjoy hunting down these monsters and finding out what makes them tick and what can make their ticking stop. I just don’t know how we’re going to stop them all.....
About my companions:
Johann is a large Eisen who is good with a sword. He has few social skills,
but he doesn’t let that hamper him.
Jean-Luc is Montaigne man who gives in to his desires, which can be a blessing or a curse depending upon when he gives in.
Silvia is an Eisen ex-soldier caring for an orphaned relative. Though she is new to our “games”, she does well fitting into our schemes.
And lastly, my dog Baldrick, a black mutt who for some reason likes me...
