Kandrill Hawkarrow

Kandrill hails from the elven kingdom Quilthen. The necromancer Yalander destroyed Arrow's Rest, the town he was born in, 50 years ago. When he wiped out the town Kandrill was able to hide in the woods. As the town was being destroyed, Kandrill's anger grew. He watched in horror as his family and friends were turned into undead creations. Being only one boy he ran off into the woods praying that the spirits there would claim him.

A few days after the annihilation of his village he ran into a beautiful pixie who took pity on the young elf. The pixie knew of a wild elf who might be able to help the young man. The pixie brought Kandrill to the woodsman Quintar. It was from this wissened elf that Kandrill learned the way of the hunter. Once he learned all he could learn from Quintar he set off on his quest: to end the reign of Yalander.

As he searched for the wicked necromancer, he learned that he was the only one that survived the undead's onslaught. He also learned that the elven high lords had dispatched two groups to rid the kingdom of the threat. As he followed the trail of clues he discovered that the Yolander's army was destroyed, but he had escaped to the town of Cut and Shoot.

He headed south to an old settlement that was know in the elven tongue as Tyr'ith. By the time he had reached the settlement, Kandrill was running low on food and supplies. It was in this town that he hired out his arm to any who would pay. While he was doing some work for a local merchant he ran into an orc, Ike (The Caliban). This Kandrill and this orc started working with each other, and eventually the two of them met their other companions, Vi and Glen.

Shortly after the four of them had a working relationship a job in Cut and Shoot opened up for them. Kandrill saw this as the perfect opportunity to exact his revenge. They began their trek south on a river barge. As they made their way south on the river an evil bank of fog surrounded them. Eventually they made their way out of the fog, only to be attacked by a kraken of some sort. The group's boat was badly damaged, so they decided to hoof it to Cut and Shoot. Unfortunately the natives had no idea about this town and Kandrill was incensed that he was denied his revenge. Kandrill has taken a strange comfort in this land that seems to be plagued by the dead.

Kandrill's thoughts on his companions:

Vi: A bit flighty, but good in a combat. He thinks she's hot, but knows that he'll probably end up on the wrong end of her sword if he said so. She has also been a great source of healing for the group.

Glen: Good with a sword, but bad with his manners. Glen has a feeling of elven superiority that Kandrill just doesn't understand. He is happy that Glen has learned a trade, and has been surprised as Glen has plied that trade not only to his good ends, but also to the greater good of the group and the community.

The Caliban (Ike): Ike is an asset for the group. His no nonsense approach to life as well as in combat has inspired Kandrill. Ike's weapon matches the way he approaches life, and Kandrill likes that. It has surprised Kandrill how closely their two goals are matched.
