Quinn Smythe, Knight, Do-Gooder, etc, etc. (as played by J.R.)

Quinn is a young Knight of the Rose and Cross, educated and trained by the Order. He lives now in Exile. Castille has become a second home to him. Though not noble in blood, he is noble of heart and spirit. He tries to live a life that will be remembered, and in which he can show others that the true power in the world lies within the hearts and minds and souls of everyone residing therein.

Quinn was born in Avalon not too long ago. He’s just in his twenties, though he’s seen much in his lifetime. An ordinary life to begin with, he’d not had much in the way of schooling before he joined the Order. Upon becoming an Initiate… Quinn had more of an education than he could’ve dreamt of: Languages, Mathematics, Swordplay… everything. Well almost everything. Some years before, he’d made friends with a mysterious girl in the woods, and by the time he’d joined the order, he was infatuated with her, and she (sidhe?) was beginning to realize that perhaps her heart wasn’t so cold after all. He was already through his Initiation into the order, and was serving as Tyro to his Domini… when he was exiled.

Framed one night, for horrible crimes he didn’t commit, by a rather non-villainous looking person, he was tried and would likely have been hanged, were it not for his membership in the Order. Instead the sentence was Exile, and so, after being dragged through the streets and pelted with garbage and less pleasant things, he was shipped out of the country, and found himself wandering around, before settling on the Isle of Casablanca.

Since that fateful day in which he met some of his best friends in a barfight, Quinn has been on many adventures, undertaking them for no more reason than that they were the right thing to do. He has fought at La Muralla, helped to write an inflammatory book, and helped to see a pack of wild children from Casablanca to San Cristobal. Through it all, he’s tried to uphold the good name of the Knights… or the Castillian Flag, depending on if someone drops it or not.

His companions, Los Casablanquenos, are:

Henri du Paix: A noble Montaigne and one of Quinn’s best friends. Despite outwardly appearanced-namely blood red hands, he’s really a rather honorable person. A quick thinker, and someone whose sense of fashion is second only to his taste in wine.

Cecil Jackson: A fellow Avalon who owes quite a debt as well, it seems. He’s a boxer, a soldier, a courtier, and a drinker. Especially the last one He is in need of the group’s help to pay off a debt, which means we get to see the Crescents.

Asgard: A delightful girl. A mix of Vodacce and Vendel, she’s quite lovely and very strong. She’s quite friendly and an excellent sailor. Don’t let her large size drive you away though, or you’re missing out on an excellent companion. She’s worth her weight in guilders, and sure to wish to see all that money laid out before her.

Alia: Where the devil is she?!??!?

Franceska: A good military strategist. She’s got quite the head on her shoulders, and has an unfortunate tendency to not seem to be able to keep it there. Cannons seemed to find her more than anyone… still, she’s a survivor. Too bad she left.

Andrea Espinoza: An actress and a Swordswoman. A fine addition to the team, as it were. She doesn’t seem to be as… diva-tized as certain other actresses who shall remain nameless, except for Consuela, and is looking to be a good companion as well.
