Geography:
Most of Asigaru's surface is covered by trees, both hardwood and softwood. From the air, Asigaru's solid green surface is marred only by the sky blue waters of its crystal clear lakes. Towards the centre of the disc, the trees gradually get larger and larger, until, at the hub, they can grow to be over two hundred yards high, their growth enhanced by the life-giving properties of the Plant Well which resides in the disc's soil.
Artificial Structures:
The structures on Asigaru can hardly be called 'artificial'. The elven inhabitants have gone to great care to insure that their dwellings are as natural as possible. Most of the buildings are made out of natural formations, like rock outcroppings and giant trees. The capital, Asigaris, is composed of more than fifty giant trees. Elven scientists have discovered a way to hollow out the trees without causing them any harm or discomfort.
Climate:
Asigaru takes its weather from a temperate climate, having summer temperatures of more than 20ºC, to winter temperatures going as low as -10ºC. Spring lasts from Spearflow to Mayborn, summer from Red Banner to Workload, Blue Banner comprises autumn, and winter lasts from Glassgrow to Iceflake.
Politics:
Asigaru is ruled by seven major houses at perhaps one hundred minor houses. The houses keep an uneasy truce in times of peace, but are fast allies when threatened.
Trade:
The elves of Asigaru are well known for their love of plants and the wilderness. They often export fine cloths and fibres made from the giant leaves of the native cloaktrees in exchange for precious and practical metals that their smiths forge into the delicate, aesthetic weaponry people have come to expect from elves. Elven weaponry is not for sale to non-elves, and elven artwork demands a high price in the open market.
Zoology:
There are few creatures unique to Asigaru. Most of the discs wildlife is composed of squirrels, chipmunks, and other mundane creatures that live in the trees.
Drizzles are small, almost fish-shaped mammal about the size of ones clenched fist, they make great pets.
Elven cats and dogs are similar to their mundane parallels, but are slightly more slender and their fur colours reflect earth tones. Elves keep them as pets.
Milbirds are the only kind of bird native to Asigaru. They are incabable of long flight (only 100 yards maximum), and prefer bobbing along the ground, instead of flying from branch to branch. They are coloured brilliant blue and have a wingspan of three feet. A milbird's spearlike beak can grow to be six inches long.
Botany:
The rich, nutritious soil of Asigaru supplies the disc with many interestingly unique plants. During winter months, carniferous trees keep their green colour, but deciduous leaves lose all colour, becoming transparent and almost glasslike.
Cloakleaf trees are massive trees that border on one hundred yards high. Leaves grow to be up to five feet long, and their shape makes them ideal as makeshift cloaks. Tailors can increase the quality of the leaves and can make them perfect for long lasting cloaks. Cloakleaves are water-resistant.
Toungeplants have one giant, red leaf that can grow over five feet in length. At night time, the tougneplant rolls its leaf into the main body, which looks similar to pitcher plants.
Snakeweed is a long, snakelike, parasitic weed that attaches itself to trees and feeds off of its nutrients.
