Geography:
Doranis is made up of rolling, fertile plains. The Rimfields has perhaps the most fertile soil to be fount on any disc next to Asigaru. There are little or no mountains, and lakes dot teh countryside. The largest of these, Tharnith Sea, borders Plinth on three sides.
Artificial Structures:
Doranis is in a constant state of decay, its cities in abandonment. Only Plinth looks as it did in past glory, and who knows how long that will be?
Climate:
To make matters worse, a major drought has striken Doranis, ruining the crops that would have at least been traded amoung countries on the disc. In normal climatic conditions, doranis would have long, rainiy summers, and long humid autumns, perfect for harvesting crops.
Politics:
Few bordertowns exist, if any. All have slowly migrated to Plinth, which is controlled by the military power of the Hunter Seekers. These souls are dedicated to the destruction of Myddraal and other Shadowkind, to which they have foolishly added lycanthropes. They thurst for revenge on the wizard who caused the Great Collapse, and dislike all wizards.
Trade:
Interdisc trade was a strenth of Doranis, few other discs could grow the fine fruits that this disc can. When the Ivory Gates closed, it hit doranis hard.
Zoology:
There are few creatures unique to Doranis. Most of the discs wildlife is composed of rabbits, foxes, and other mundane creatures that live on the plains.
Botany:
The rich, nutritious soil and hot climate of Doranis makes it possible to grow plants that would not survive anywhere else in the world.
Orange trees grow twenty feet tall, and yeild orange coloured, tangy fruit. A boon to sailors.
Grapes are not unique to this disc only, but Doranis' vineyards are amoung the best in the world. Doranis wine calls more than double the price of another disc's.
Rebin Trees grow fifty feet high, and look like weeping willows. In the spring, they bloom and long, three foot fruit drag the sagging branches to the ground. Rebins are very nutritious.
