Geography:
Floatillia consists of four major discs, and some dozen minor discs connected by massive bridges. The four large discs resemble land chains more than discs, measuring about a hundred miles long, and twenty or so wide. These land masses float from ten metres to a mile above the main disc - Eranin - which is covered in water. Rehnan, a minor disc, floats over the edge of the Eranin, and a waterfall over its edge cascades down to Avalon.
Artificial Structures:
The most outstanding structures on Floatillia are the massive bridges (Farins in the native tougne) which span the continents. The largest, Farin Darmons, is fully fifty miles long and one mile wide. A city rests at the halfway point, and villages dot the edges. Dormon's is secretly trying to increase its independance.
Climate:
Floatillia is a tropical disc, with infrequent rain and balmy weather. Dispite Tientopia's natural weather patterns, the disc Floatillia Aquas generates roughly two or three hurricanes a year which ravage the floating discs above. When poweful enough, the hurricains can be felt on the nearby disc of the Gemstones.
Politics:
The Confederacy unites the Floatillian discs as one strong trading and military power. Uprisings are quickly crushed, and order reigns. When the windclipper was invented on Soradah, the government swiftly modified it for military use, and WindSwords patrol the skies of Floatillia regularly. Words of invasion touch the lips of the general people, but whether it is the next to fall to Gothicallis, or it is to lash out at another, no one yet knows.
Trade:
Floatillia is no more isolated now than it was before the gates closed. The many discs maintain an open trade agreement, and all the discs' economies are prosperous. Though Farin Darmons insists on hampering trade between Reh'Nin and Reh'Menh. Talk of rebellion has not yet reached reached enough magnitide to cause anything more than a delayed caravan.
Zoology:
Floatillia is perhaps the most diverse disc when animals are involved.
Monkeys are strange, humourous creatures, and yet interestingly insightful into human ways. They live on the jungles that hung from underneath Reh'Nin, and turn up at times in surface cities. Docile, monkeys do not fight unless provoked.
Toriths are massive, grey mammals with leathery skin. Perhaps their most striking aspect is the long, hose-like nose that the torith can use to manipulate objects. They may learn simple tricks, but are invaluble as beasts of burden.
Botany:
A tropical disc, the flora of Floatillia are lush and green the year round.
Soft sword trees are often called bananas by the locals. The only real threat to the Doranian fruit market, bananas are a nutritious fruit, and popular in both Mayador and Silviatt before the collapse.
