Lleron
A Moving Landscape

Diameter: 314 miles

Geography:
The rolling emerald hills of Lleron strech for miles between the small nations on Lleron. Numerous forests cover the disc, but plains and
THE MAIN METHOD OF TRANSPORTATION IS BY HORSE
farmland cover the most area. The hub region is several hundred yards higher than the rimlands, giving Lleron a look similar to that of a massive hill. At the top of this hill is a large lake, with several branch rivers flowing down the hill shape of the disc. These rivers run through the plains, with small farms running along its banks. There are no mountains on Lleron.

Artificial Structures:
Lleron has very few large buildings of grand scale. Farmhouses are common, small towns are a day between, and large cities are rare. Roads are also rare, as the main method of transportation is by horse. Almost every house on Lleron has stables, and in kingdoms, these buildings can be massive. Highly populated regions have a ten foot wall build at the Rim to protect spooked horses (and their would-be-unfortunate riders) from plunging to a lower disc.

Climate:
Lleron has slightly warmer than temperate weather in the spring, summer, and autumn. Winter lasts for no more than two months, from Glassgrow to Iceflake.

Politics:
Each kingdom's reign spreads three miles into the outlying territories. Through mutual agreement, no kingdom has claim to any land outside this region, but this is not to say Lleron is a peaceful disc. Border disputes crop up from time to time, and Lleronners are fiercely territorial when it comes to dealing with other discs. All Ivory Gates are under heavy protection from many nearby kingdoms, who fear outsiders are ready to claim what is rightly the Lleronners' soil.

Trade:
Trade between the kingdoms is kept at a bare minimum, but travellers may go freely from kingdom to kingdom, so long as they show no hostile attempts. Trade with the outside is limited only to the necessities, things not typically found on Lleron. The Gemstones are regular trading partners, as Lleronner mines have trouble keeping up with shoeing all the disc's horses. Trade with Floatillia is also kept so Lleronners may obtain tropical goods (caravans must pass through Mayador and Silviatt first, though).

Zoology:
Lleron's animal life is among the fastest in the world. Sages believe this is because their closeness to the Travel Well has somewhat increased their abilities, or perhaps naturally speedy creatures were simply drawn to the disc.
Slinups are Lleronian snakes. Similar to the python of Savnh, the Slinup is slightly smaller, but considerably faster (MV21).
Reads, pronounced REY-ads, are the fastest creatures on land. Combining cat-like speed with dog-like strength, a read appears similar to giant fox, four feet high at the shoulder, and spotted brown in hue (MV36).
The Sylth is perhaps the fastest creature in the sky (MV60). A sylth appears to be a small, foot long oriental dragon, covered in feathers. It flies with four butterfly like wings, and travels at 300smph. They can be domesticated.

Botany:
Lleron has some very bizzare forms of plant life. When faced with a deadly drought, a killing tremor, or a deadly rain of hail, these plants simply pull up root and... leave.
Crawlweed is a lethal predator of small animal life. It appears to be a series of vines that slowly crawl along the ground (MV6). When they reach a prey, they can entrap it in a way similar to entangle or snare. They devour small creatures and inconvenience larger ones.
Flerith flowers appear to be normal flowers of any type or hue. When danger approaches, entire flowerbeds have been known to draw themselves underground, and then 'sprout' up again in a different place (1 mile away/day spent tunnelling).
