Savnh
Call of the Wild

Diameter: 203 miles

Geography:
Not a very large disc, Savnh just passes the two hundred mile mark. Two thirds of Savnh is made up of rolling grasslands, and this savannah is an open land, with very few mountains in random scatterings. To the south lies a rainforest, lush, thick and dense. The disc is mostly flat, hills and the occasional mountain being the only change in elevation.

Artificial Structures:
Savnh has no artificial structures of any size, though small scattered hunting camps exist. The largest building discovered as of yet was a myddraal compound no more than fifty feet long and two stories high. The compound currently lies in ruin.

Climate:
Savnh's two seasons are known simple as Wet Season and the Dry Season. During the wet season, rain falls from frequent thunderstorms, and forest fires control the invasion of trees and shrubs, ensuring that most of the disc is covered by sweeping grasslands. To the south of the savannah lies a rainforest, covering the remaining third of the disc. Rainfall is frequent here, and broad rivers run their courses, plunging off the edge of the disc and dissipating to spray lower discs in occasional clouds of refreshing mist.

Politics:
Savnh, having no nations, also has no politics. For purposes of controlling and protecting this wild disc, Savnh is under the mutual control of over two dozen nations from more than ten discs. They all agree that Savnh is the property of none but the animals that call it home, and work together to control hunting, poaching, and limit building construction and size.

Trade:
Caravans sometimes find their way through Savnh's grasslands en route from one Ivory Gate to another. Savnh is a source of many animal parts that cannot be found in other environments, illegal hunting is Savnh's largest export (the only other is the export rainforest plants), and legal hunting is kept to a minimum.

Zoology:
Savnh supports many creatures not seen in other areas of the world.
Rhinocerasses (pronounced REE-no-ser-ASS-ez) are massive creatures the size of a horse drawn wagon. Covered by a thick leathery skin, this behemoth has two horns growing at the tip of its snout.
Drazels appear to be horses with unusual colouring. Drazels are either light tan with spots of dark tan, or have a striped hide of the same colours.
Dihorawlises (pronounced DI-hor-AWL-is-EZ, -EEZ pl.) goat like creatures capable of leaping ten feet through the air, and running at high speeds.
Lions are large beasts, both like cats in appearance and it traits. Lions are fast, silent, and prefer to ambush their prey.

Botany:
Savnh's grasslands consist mostly of long, dry grass, and the occasional tree. It is the rainforest where plant life becomes diverse. Strangleweed is not at all dangerous to people or animals, as the name may suggest. Strangleweed is a paracite that has roots penetrating the branches of other trees, stealing food and nutrients from its host.
River Lilies appear to be broad, floating leaves three feet across. Their roots float in the rivers in which they are found, and they drift along slowly along the current, at times falling off the edge of the disc where their rivers end.
