Being the smallest of Chlor's offspring the chances of Emerald's survival were minimal. To survive she left Cavern Asnir at an early age and began traveling the tunnels of Dungeonsphere. After traveling for about 100 years she returned to the cavern of her birth. It was these travels that broadened her mind towards others.
At this time there were still about seven of Chlor's children still in the cavern. Due to her small size she struct a bargin with both the inhabatants of the castle, at that time the population of Asnir was still relatively small, as well as several local treents. It was only through the help of these powerful allies that she was able to survive the assault of one of her siblings, this assault also bruoght about the death of that sibling.
In her travels she ammased a large ammount of usable magical items. It is with these magical items that she is able to survive the plotting of her familiy members. Also it is thought that the constant exposure to all of these magical items is what brought about the gradual alignment change to her current alignment. Know one knows exactly how much magic Emerald carries with her but it is thought she has a ring that combines the powers of thought projection, thought shielding, as well as protection from nonmagical weapons.
Her current attitude is seemingly one of nonchalance towards the outside world. All she cares about is her magic and expanding her magical abilities. So far she has been unable to break out of the seeming barriers of spell use, but when she finally does she will be able to cast spells like a elven wizard.
