Rune/Magic Weapons

The Wraith - a greater rune weapon.

Description - a gold and silver gauntlet with a large deep blue saphire set on the back of the hand. Dark blue Runes cover the entire gauntlet from the fingertips to the edge of the cuff.

Powers - possesses the eight standard abilities plus the following.

The Wraith came into being long before the first pyramid existed. It was a gift for an adventurer who almost by accident saved a kingdom from destruction. The man was asked what he wanted in way of a reward. His reply was that he wanted a way to sneek, hide and escape so he could never be caught. The Wraith was his reward, and he used it to his very great advantage to kill the king and take over the realm he had just saved. However, he met his demise a few years later, when on a hunting trip, he fell off his horse and dashed his brains out on a rock. He couldn't escape from death, and The Wraith wasn't with his body when he died, although he was seen wearing it when he went out on the hunting trip.
GM note: There is only 1 Wraith.

Skavor

Skavor was lost sometime after Alexander the Great started his conquest of the known world. A mercenary was the last known host for the weapon. No one knows exactly what Skavor is, although it is not a rune weapon. The best description might be a shape-changing parasitic weapon.

Description: Skavor looks like a sword about five feet in length when in its natural form. The blade itself is jagged in appearance and sometimes even seems to alter its shape while watching, from jagged hard edges to smooth flowing curves and back again. (This doesn't happen too often) On the handle and grip of the weapon are 5 tentacle like protrusions. When the handle of the weapon is gripped by some unknowing person, the tendrils shoot into the wrist and forearms (this hurts and causes 3d6 S.D.C.) and the weapon is permanently bonded to the individual for life. Once bonded, the weapon doesn't require anything other than to remain bonded until the individual dies. Removing the weapon will kill the host, but Skavor will survive. After the bonding, the host gains control of Skavor and can control its various powers and forms. However, the host now looks like he/she has a sword attached to the end of his arm with 5 tentacles embedded in the skin.

Abilities: after the bonding the host gains control of Skavor and can use the following abilities of the weapon.

Thorn Sword

This sword was found by one of my PC's in a haunted Japanese temple near the remains of Mt. Fuji. It is a plain looking weapon at first, but also indestructible.

Description: A 2 ft. long handle of wood(?) with several 5 ft. long black metal 'vines' coming out of each end. The vines are covered with 2 inch long thorns. When wielded, the vines are flexible and can be semi-controlled by the user. They also sometimes move on their own.
