My personal favorite is MORDOR. I've tried a bunch of them and this seems to be the best. and lots of others agree. once you've played mordor no other mud comes close. They have a website you can check out for more information and I have it linked here- Mordor's Homepage you can connect to mordor with any mud client by simply filling in the address and port.
 This is my charecter on MORDOR named DXM and his statistics. Im in a group dedicated to helping people new to the game to learn how to play and make it more enjoyable. I've been playing this game for a long time which has a lot of benefits in the game but it was a challenge. One word of warning- Once you get into it, the game becomes quite addictive. Many players can attest to this fact by the sheer number of hours they put into the game. Mordor has a dedicated staff who appear in the game as 'immortals' these mystical biengs are always busy constantly improving the game so its always changing, always growing. Basicly its a chat room with a complex and entertaining game built around it populated by alot of very cool friendly people who all share a love of the game. New players are always welcome and I for one recommend it despite the tremendous amount of time its taken out of the last year of my life.
