As a matter of fact my most recent character, Crystal Meth, was "sushi-fied" by a sammie with a Katana, and a set of amazing reflex boosters. I had had my elf rigger for five years, game time. He was he best damn combat chopper pilot. (This was SR2 rules, just for clarity) He had Rot. Craft at fraggin' 12! I had over 80 man-to-man ground kills, over 20 helo kills, half-dozen Bugs (from Chicago), and even a Variant kill. I shot down a fraggin' jet irplane with my little Yellowjacket, a Yellowjacket!! Yes, the "Trip" was my prized possesion. She had an autocannon, and a multilauncher mounted under her small, but powerful, wings. Shw had integrated Battletac. God, she was beautiful. When he fina ly bought the farm (13 boxes over-over bleed, 20 boxes overbleed, and 30 boxes of total damage), he had all of his elvenly attributes maxed-out, enough skills rated high enough to be God himself, and 4 entire facilities to boot. Being a merc rigger, he w s part of 2 major merc groups (of our own design): the Titans, and the Rough Riders. Meth had over 3,000,000 nuyen, and an essence of a whopping 0 (SR2 rules remember, you can still have an E of 0 and still be alive, but not in SR3 rules). While rigging he went at... can you guess it? 4D+16, he always went first, while rigging anyway. On the ground he went at 1D+8 and had the scars from taking so many deadlys from moving like molasses once the rock'n roll started, this was also the cause of his rather essy death. When he finally did go he would whip out his two customized Smartguns, and pump 20 rounds of APDS into the 4 nearest targets. The recoil was a drag, but I compensated with ware and goodies. 20 APDS rounds is a bitch to try to resist, so I d dn't have much return fire, it was that initial fire that always dreked me up. I'm glad I always had my chummers there to drag my many times near-lifeless body away to somewhere where DocWagon could pick me up. That last run he was on his own, so he had no backup. The sammie already had slashed him 5 times with his dikoted katana, be for I would have goten to go at 11. Thus is the tale of the genarian ( as far as runners go, making it for 5 years is a damn long time), known only as Crystal Meth, who d ed in a LoneStar prison riot at the age of 29.
