Gamma Force Threat Evaluations

Black Lotus:

Chinese sorcerers for the Seattle Chinese Tong. They appeared in ancient China where they were rumored to once control the Emperor. Destroyed, they evidently survived as an underground organization dedicated to magic. They already had the skills when the power returned to Earth. They have long fought the Imperial Dragons and have evidently moved to America to escape them.

They appeared at a the fight on the docks and their apparent goal was the seizure of the Ice lab and they are the probable origins of the drug Ice. Driven off by Gamma Force.

Gamma Force encountered a second time when sent to raid a Black Lotus installation at the direction of the Queen of the Ice Pagoda. The Queen wanted a dimensional portal to her realm closed. This required the recapturing of the crown of the Ice King and the placing of the Black Lotus sorcerers in the hurt locker. In return, the Queen freed Freejack who fell into her realm as the result of his experiments. This raid dealt a serious blow to the organization as it destroyed one of the their remaining Chinese strongholds, freed Dragon Knight from their control, lost them the artifact known as the Crown of the Ice Kings, and cost them them the sorcerer known as Blood Dragon.

The highest ranking members of the Black Lotus are eunuch sorcerers.

Real Name: Organization.

Status: Villians, directly contacted.

Allies: Seattle Chinese Tongs,

Enemies: Seattle Seolpa Ring. Imperial Dragons

Weaknesses: Good left hook. Best if you hit them while they are laughing maniacally.

Dragon of Dreams:

A powerful psychic and member of the Imperial Dragons. She is the youngest (about 17) and least experienced member of the group. She is very shy because she doesn't want to accidentally overhear any thoughts that are constantly buzzing at the back of her mind.

Real Name: Unknown.

Status: Nominal ally.

Allies: Celestial Dragon, Emperor of China

Enemies: Black Lotus

Weaknesses: Lack of fine control over her abilities. Youth and inexperience.

Dragon Knight:

Leader of the Chinese Imperial Dragons, an elite superhero group. Known as an excellent tactician. He is a swordsmaster that wields a pair of energy dragon swords that can be either concussive or killing. His knowledge of tactics and a cybernetic HUD makes it almost impossible to surprise him. (Except when Black Lotus sorcerers are doing the surprising.)

Mech Man went toe to toe with him while he was being mind controlled by a Black Lotus sorcerer

Real Name: Unknown

Status: Nominal ally.

Allies: Emperor of China

Enemies: Black Lotus

Weaknesses: Vulnerable to surprise while outside of his armor.

Dragon Turtle:

The technical genius of the Imperial Dragons, she developed all of their powered armor. She flies a mini anti-grav tank with massive armor and weapons. Primary weapons are twin gatling lasers capable of 180° arcs of fire. Inside the tank she wears a light suit of powered armor, just in case. She went to school in America.

Real Name: Unknown

Status: Nominal ally.

Allies: Celestial Dragon, Emperor of China

Enemies: Black Lotus

Weaknesses: Wears glasses, probably nearsighted without them.

Flint:

Part of an established Seattle heroic duo. Flint has an incredibly tough body and while in physical contact with his brother he can project beams of energy. His friendliness to Gamma Force could disappear as we take more and more of the camera time. Care must be made to never treat the duo with anything less then respect either in public or private. See Steel. Was hospitalized when he threw himself off of a tall building into a power transformer. He was possessed at the time by the being known as Skindancer and was about to kill his brother. Instead of landing the final blow, he regained partial control of himself and did the only thing he could think of to stop himself. Nightshade has invested time into helping his healing prosess. He is telepathically linked at a deep level with his brother..

Real Name: Unknown

Status: Ally.

Allies: Gamma Force

Enemies: Skindancer.

Weaknesses: Incredible ego. Public ID and business interests. Very emotionally close to his brother.

Golden Dragon:

Brother of the Emperor and the only member of the Imperial Dragons that does not wear armor because his body is covered in fine golden scales and he possesses the strength of a dragon. He is a master martial artist with the ability to project chi blasts, leap amazing distances, and move almost unseen. The covert op man of the group. He is a monk (and therefor bald) who has given up all worldly ambition and devoted himself to the service of his emperor and his art. An amazingly peaceful and centered man.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Nominal ally.

Allies: Celestial Dragon, Emperor of China

Icestorm:

Energy projector with control over ice and the ability to absorb heat from targets. Was working aboard the Kwinis Company freighter. Suspected as being the primary creator of Ice in that lab. Taken down by Highwire and Freejack. Along with the Crown of the Ice King, Icestorm was later given over to the Queen of the Ice Pagoda as part of her majesty's terms in freeing Freejack. Against the queen's wishes, Highwire traveled back with Icestorm and the crown. He later appeared on top of a nearby mountain.

Enemies: Seattle Chinese tongs.

Weaknesses: Once addicted to Ice.

Imperial Dragons:

Premiere superhero group of reformed China. Members include Dragon Knight, Golden Dragon, Mystic Dragon, Dragon of Dreams, and Dragon Turtle. Almost all of them wear powered armor that enhances their strength, senses and grants flight. Each of them is also trained in at least one form of martial arts. Several years ago the group helped the Emperor instate a constitutional/socialist monarchy in China.

The IDs have an extremely fast flying saucer/plane/thing that is made of a form of plastic (maybe) that can change shape. The ships surface seemed a bit warm and sometimes you felt like it was watching you. This plane avoids all normal detection technologies.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Nominal ally.

Allies: Celestial Dragon, Emperor of China

Enemies: Black Lotus

Weaknesses: See individual profiles.

Kwi (Ghost):

An invisible martial artist. He appeared during the fight on the docks for the Ice lab. Likes to martial throw his larger opponents. Capable of throwing both Flint and Steel.

Lambert, Janine

Local psychic with a surprisingly high accuracy rate. Currently a patient at a local mental institution as she seems unable to handle her revelations. She seems to be tuned into the plans of Skindancer. Initial contact with her has been established by Nightshade.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Tentatively friendly.

Allies: None, but a potentially useful resource for Gamma Force.

Enemies: Men with funny coats aka the mental institution faculty.

Weaknesses: Normal human outside of her unpredictable psychic powers. Possibly nutty as a loon.

Magistrate Chun:

Majordomo of the Queen of the Ice Pagoda. Has demonstrated the ability to read minds, and is apparently an honorable being. All communication with the Ice Realm and the Queen should be handled through this one.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Neither ally nor enemy.

Allies: Queen of the Ice Pagoda.

Enemies: Probably denizens of the Realm of Fire.

Weaknesses: Suspect a weakness to fire.

Mystic Dragon:

An ancient Chinese sorcerer... in powered armor. A member of the Imperial Dragons, he claims to be hundreds of years old due to the elixir of immortality. He is the rascal of the group "People my age can't be tight-asses, we'd break..", but still a kindly grandfather figure (ok maybe a bit lecherous, but not much).

Real Name: N/A

Status: Nominal ally.

Allies: Celestial Dragon, Emperor of China

Enemies: Black Lotus

Weaknesses: Fairly straightforward manner towards women. This mild form of lechery may just be an act however.

Ninja:

Appeared and interfered with both the Seolpa ring and Chinese tong agents during the battle of the docks. Tactics seemed aimed at reducing the strength of both sides. During the battle they displayed incredible leaping powers and stealth abilities. They also appeared to be highly skilled in the martial arts and the use of their short sword.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Unknown.

Allies: Unknown. Possible links to the Japanese criminal organization known as the Yakuza. Must investigate further - hard to break fingers if they've already cut them off.

Enemies: Seattle Chinese tongs. Korean Seolpa Rings.

Weaknesses: Must always attack heroic martial artist one at a time, even thought they have him outnumbered and surrounded.

Queen of the Ice Pagoda:

Absolute ruler of the Elemental Plane of Ice. Follows a Chinese motif. Bowing, scraping and other forms of respect are not only expected but required before a being that could snuff your life without a second thought. If her realm she is more powerful then Maelstrom and has the ability to plunge the Earth into Ice Ages on a whim. She has the villain Icestorm under her power.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Beyond ally or threat.

Allies: Needs none.

Enemies: Suspected enemies with beings of the plane of Fire. Sorcerers of the Black Lotus.

Weaknesses: Suspected weakness to Fire.

Seolpa Ring:

The crime organizations of the Koreans, the Seattle ring is engaged in a fight with the local Chinese Tongs for control of the underworld and the lucrative drug trade. The rings are definitely linked to the new Asian street drug, Ice.

Real Name: N/A

Status: Street organization. Gamma Force is directly responsible for their loss of the floating Ice lab.

Allies: Icestorm, Kwi., Kiwinis Company (business)

Enemies: Seattle Chinese tongs.

Weaknesses: Unknown.

Skindancer :

Demon. Apparently this entity is a lieutenant for Belial. It has been involved in a series of serial killings in the Seattle area with the suspected intent of opening another gateway to Hell and/or extending Belial's area of influence. The demon has displayed incredible senses, supernatural toughness, the ability to manipulate the skin of his targets in an area effect, and the ability to possess people at a distance. Recognized Imp and called him brother. Was both surprised and angry to see Imp strike him. Good job Imp.

While powerful, Gamma Force can take him in a straight up combat. Unfortunately, it's ability to simply possess another body makes this tactic counter productive, as the demon will simply take over another innocent.

Real Name: Unknown. Current body's name: Jake Manason

Status: Villain. Directly contacted.

Allies: Unknown. Can summon demonic allies. Suspect that those summoned are the animated bodies of his victims.

Enemies: Gamma Force, Flint and Steel.

Weaknesses:
While surrounded by a mystical circle drawn with the blood of virgins, it loses all supernatural power. The subsequent destruction of his host will banish it back to Hell.
Seems to have a patience problem. Evidently he has shown an inability to go for lengths of time without killing someone.
Treats his current body poorly - eating only candy bars and other sources of high energy. Speculation - "It's a rental" attitude.

Steel:

Part of an established Seattle heroic duo. Steel has an incredibly tough body and while in physical contact with his brother he can project beams of energy. His friendliness to Gamma Force could disappear as we take more and more of the camera time. Care must be made to never treat the duo with anything less then respect either in public or private. See Flint. Got the snot pounded out of him while his brother was possessed by the demon Skindancer. He simply would not fight back. He is telepathically linked at a deep level with his brother.

Real Name: Unknown.

Status: Newfound ally.

Allies: Gamma Force

Enemies: Skindancer.

Weaknesses: Incredible ego. Public ID and business interests. Very emotionally close to his brother.

Crown of the Ice Kings:

Created by the Queen of the Ice Pagoda for her mortal monarch, it was lost to Earth millenia ago. It found it's way into the hands of the Black Lotus who used it to open a portal to the Elemental Plane of Ice in order to manufacture the substance that later became the street drug known as Ice. It was returned to the Queen after being recovered by Gamma Force.

Damnation:

Street drug from L.A. Incredibly addictive, invariably fatal. Early on it gives users and incredible feeling of euphoria, power, and loss of restraint. Advanced stages of addiction are known as the Burns and include hallucinations of horrifying scenes, high fever, and spontaneous combustion. Has two versions. The second and most recent version delivers a stronger kick, and doesn't cause death as rapidly.

A key ingredient in the creation of Damnation is rumored to be the blood of an actual demon.

Dante, Inc:

Creators of a failed super soldier serum.

Ice:

Asian street drug that lowers the user's body temperature to approximately 60° yet leaves the user alive. Very recent arrival in the states. It was initially offered at a low price to hook people, and since then supplies have dried up, raising the price. Suspect that the scarcity is due to more then just good marketing.

Initial speculations that Ice is manufactured using a sliver of crystal from the elemental plane of Ice is confirmed by Gamma Force's encounter with the Queen of the Ice Pagoda. Given the difficulty of obtaining the core ingredient, widespread distribution of Ice as a serious drug is limited, and somewhere there is a powerful sorcerer with an interest in creating this drug. It is known that the Black Lotus are responsible for creating it, but that the Seolpa Rings are the ones actually selling it as a street drug.

A primary (if not the) vital link to the manufacture of Ice was shut down when Gamma Force raided and destroyed a Black Lotus temple and stole away the Crown of the Ice Kings to be returned to the Queen of the Ice Pagoda.

Kwinis Company:

Korean company that owned the freighter that had the Ice lab and the small fusion powerplant. Strongly suspected that this company is a Seolpa ring sponsor.

Los Alamos National Labs.

Large, but not nuclear, explosion occurred there recently.

Salvation:

Only known cure for Damnation addiction. Initial treatment is successful 90% of the time, but there is a 2% casualty rate at the moment of treatment. Further treatments and usage of Salvation have a lower success rate and a corresponding increase in fatality percentage.

Scientist with an awesome speed. Has a twisted little guardian angel that had better leave the local soldiers alone. Needs to not play with nuclear reactors anymore.

Highwire:

Has flight, agility, a high level of reflexes and a knowledge of martial arts. Previous drug addict with little concern for his current teammates.

Imp:

Demon from Hell. Has a pitchfork and energy attack. Only member of the team with worse attitude about life then Highwire.

Mech Man:

Football player with an alien suit of armor. Has an incredible strength and ability to absorb damage. Spent a little too much time on the line without a helmet.

Nightshade:

Witch from an upper class debutante background. Very good at team reinforcement.

Pulsar:

Team leader with a highly accurate and devastating energy attack. Bureaucrat. Currently assigned elsewhere.

Col. Nathaniel Truett

Powered Infantry

Squad of soldiers using the experimental and primitive powered armor. The powered armor is to attempt to allow these guys go against super powered beings. And these guys volunteered for this job.

SuperTrooper and the Patrolmen

SuperTrooper (Jerry Maxwell)

Jerry was always stronger, faster and tougher than any other kid while he was growing up. When he was in High School that demon stuff happened in LA, and Jerry began to change. The changes started slowly, but then two years ago while Jerry was in the police academy, the changes accelerated. Maybe it was the radiant magical energy from LA or maybe Jerry is just a mutant like so many others, but now he is incredibly fast, strong and tough. Jerry joined the Highway Patrol who put him to work in the special crimes division, he became SuperTrooper and has been working to put criminals in jail since.

Vigilant (Frank Devorak)

Frank is an engineer in the employ of Obermeyer industries, for the last several years he has helped Dr. Obermeyer build the Patrolmen's suits. He volunteered to wear one to help work out any problems in the field. Frank is totally devoted to Obermeyer and will do everything in his power to make sure things go well for the Patrolmen. New suits are on their way, two more should be complete by year end. For now Frank has to try to control the other two Patrolmen who have proven unstable at times. He has recommended that his employer discontinue the current recruiting policies, but doesn't know whether his advice will be taken. Frank will not use his claws on any living sentient being, unless it's a demon from hell of course.

Valiant (Dr. Joel Kuhlman)

Joel Kuhlman was a brilliant surgeon, then out of a clear blue Southern California sky Hell came to call. Joel was one of the lucky ones, he survived. But being paralyzed from the waist down wasn't Joel's idea of being lucky. He spent the next five years in a hell of his own, trying to relearn the basic skills he needed to live. Then a man named Obermeyer offered him a chance to not only walk again, but to strike back at the demons that had crippled him. Obermeyer told him of the armored suits he was designing, and he told Joel of his need for strong men with strong minds. Now he can not only protect others, he could attain revenge. Joel jumped at the chance, and was soon in training as the second Patrolman.

Victorious (Rodney Jones)

Six years ago, hell appeared in LA. Six years ago, Rodney's life changed forever. Rodney was found by National Guardsmen wandering just outside of LA, his wife and two children killed by the demons that took over the city. After years of virtual imprisonment in mental institutions and several foiled suicide attempts, a man came to visit Rodney. Obermeyer offered him a chance to lash out at the demons and perhaps prevent more lives from being ruined like his. Rodney jumped at the chance, and for the past year he has wrecked his revenge on his hated foes as Victorious, first of the group now called the Patrolmen.

Information on William Obermeyer

William Obermeyer

Age:64

Naturalized Citizen

Born in 1935, his parents fled Hitler's Germany to Great Britain because of their religion. Educated at Oxford, he moved to America in 1959, at the age of 24, and completed his PhD at MIT just one year later. He worked with many different universities, companies, and research facilities until forming his own company in the mid-eighties. By the early nineties his company was on the Fortune 1000 list, yet employed only 200 people. Six years ago demons invaded Los Angeles, his wife and three children were at home at their Manhattan Beach home. All are missing, presumed dead. Obermeyer himself was in Washington, D.C. on a business trip and was spared whatever horrible fate befell his family. Colleagues say he has never been the same since that fateful Sunday. Now a virtual recluse, he is rarely seen by anyone outside of his company. Because of this reclusive nature, on several occasions rumors have spread that he has died. Every time these rumors pop up, he puts in a brief public appearance. Claiming that nothing can distract him from his latest project, his appearances are always very brief.
