The current leader of the anti-Shinra organization Avalanche. He learned about the life of the planet from an astronomer in Cosmo Canyon, which later motivated him to form Avalanche. Shinra Company making full use of the media, accuses Avalanche as an ecological terrorist after the bombing of the Makou reactor. Makou energy was discovered in his hometown Corel four years ago, and Shinra immediately started the development of Makou reactor in the vicinity. He, thinking this would progress his town for the good, agreed to Shinra's plans. But later on, the reactor blew up in an accident and was shut down. The village protesters were accused of this explosion, and with the lack of government aid, no repair was done, and the town was abandoned. Some point during this incident, his right hand was lost in a gunshot fired by Scarlet, the head of weapons development division of Shinra Company. He now equips a gimmick arm in place of his right hand. He parted with his close friend Dyne, and continues to blame himself for agreeing with Shinra which lead to such a tragedy. He acts based upon feelings of anger and revenge rather than logical reasons. He lost his beloved wife Mina and is left with their only child Marin. He treasures her and Avalanche very much, but he is constantly troubled as to which of the two he should spend more time on.
