Magic Axiom: 18Tech Axiom: 15
Spirit Axiom: 16Social Axiom: 18
Aysle's realm on Earth is located in the British Isles, extending into Scandinavia and northern Russia. It is divided into Dark and Light zones, representing Good and Evil projected onto the land.

About Aysle

The realm of Aysle is a sword-and-sorcery style land. Wizards and elves and dwarves and dragons and all the creatures out of Dungeons and Dragons abound. Magic is an everyday occurence for residents. It even acts as the basis for the monetary system. Ayslish folk reflect their morality in their appearance, in accordance with the Laws of Honor and Corruption.

Aysle's High Lord is the Warrior of the Dark, a magically created entity who won a battle for the favor of the Darkness Device, Drackanus, after Uthorion was deposed. Drackanus takes the form of a black crown. Aysle has expanded rapidly since the Warrior of the Dark became high Lord.

The Magic axiom in Aysle is high enough that almost anyone in the land has access to some level of magical ability. Folk are born with magical skill. Thise who undergo training in the arts can become immensely powerful. Enchanted items and permanent magic can exist.

Aysle's Social Axiom puts it in a medieval-style system, altered due to the presence of magic. It is made up of many different peoples, and although they are united under treaties, they do not all follow a single leader.

The Spirit axiom is high enough that the influence of the gods can be recognized. Miracles are bestowed upon the faithful. Aysle has a pantheistic system of religions.

The technology axiom, like the Social axiom, also places Aysle in a medieval mold. Sailing ships and crude firearms exist, but magic is usually used in place of technology in most things.

Aysle World Laws

Law of Observation

Reality is defined by what you (or someone else) see or have seen. If something cannot be sensed, then it holds no reality. Everything that can be perceived is real, and everything that is real has been previously perceived.

Law of Magic

Magic is real and can be perceived by those sensitive to its presence. Magic is available to all folk, and all are born with some skill in magic.

Law of Honor

The Good that folk do is reflected in their spirit and appearance, and is discernable to those who can detect such things. Honorable traits are rewarded with advantages, and are recognized by their bearing. A new skill, Honor, describes the level of Honor of a character.

Law of Corruption

Similar to the Law of Honor, this law states that Corruption cannot be hidden. A person's corrupt acts reflect in their appearance and bearing. The Corruption skill provides additional skills for those who follow the path of Corruption.
Uthorion perverted this Law, allowing those who are corrupt to pass their evils onto the land, rather than onto their own appearance. Thus, the land has Dark areas where Corruption has been passed on from the High Lord.
