| Toby is one of the players who helped establishing the FC Elfland in 1997. He is promoted to the first team of FCE from the youth squad. He has played as the goalkeeper in FCE for more than 4 years before the establishment of FCE. He fights very hard to attain the first one in the Goalkeeper place in the team with Victor. Until Victor was sent to Australia for training, he succeeded and kept the place even though Victor is back. Toby is famous for his blocking of long fierce shots, he is always capable of keeping these shots out of the net. His determination of handling airy, crossing or lobbing is far below stardand. Never ever been able to give other players faith for catching lobbing ball. The goalkeeping ability of super small angle shots of his has been enhancing in these four years. Overall, provided that he could be able to handle his drawbacks and be a leader in the defends, we are so sure that he can have a good prospect in the footbal field. With only 3 matches for the last 2 seasons that we could keep a clean sheet, Toby appeared once only. However, this statistic disclosed none of the reality. Toby fought hard to keep his place there and managed to attain a better and better form throughout the seasons. Every matches could he play above standard. Though still be seen sometimes that he let go some lazy balls. Looking back to his endeavour, we could see a greap leap of his dead ball, stabily and attacking ability. We witnessed a 2-goal hero style of him for the last match of last season. But for airy ball, not much improvement was found. Teamwork between defenders are created, we can foresee a beautiful record this year. |
