It had been seven years since the defeat of Kefka. Gau was 20 now, helived in Figaro with Sabin, his adopted father. Gau''s biologicalfather had left him to rot on the Veldt as an infant. Gau was never anormal child. His father had turned him away leaving him for dead, under the impression that he was a demon. He would never get overthat. He never fully understood his abandonment either. Why? Why didhe have to leave him? His father couldn''t even find in himself to lovehim? Gau couldn''t even help it to wonder whether or not he had causedhis father''s insanity, if he had driven him to the point of totalmadness, to the point that he didn''t even want to believe he had ason? Since the day they had uncovered the agonizing truth of Gau''sabdication, he had never really recovered from the horror story thatwas his life.
It was a reunion of Heroes that had defeated Kefka. Everyone was inthe Figaro dinning hall catching up on their past memories, the newaccomplishments, everything. All except Gau. Gau stood at the topbalcony in Figaro castle. He sighed as he looked down at the sand."The monster is left to stand here and bask in his emptiness." Hethought to himself. He felt that no one wanted him. The love and carethat his friends had for him were nothing more than a mire illusion. He was too blind to see that people cared for him. To him it was as ifit were just a cruel joke the world was playing on him, he couldn''teven recognize the love that Relm had for him. She had been trying foryears to reach out to Gau, but he was consumed with the pain of hispast life and how it had tortured him for 20 long years ..
Gau had no reason to live. He felt nothing. Nothing towards himself orto any other. He had made up his mind, tonight he would end the painpermanently. He took out a pen and a scroll from his pack that hecarried with him. In it were his mementos of a life he had neverknown. It contained a few small shiny objects he had found on theVeldt as a child, and his stuffed bear; the only gift he had evergotten from his parents before his mother passed away. He began towrite.
In the morning, they found Gau''s bloodied and mangled body thrown fromthe tower and lying in the sand of the Figaro desert. He was gone. Hispain, His agony, His empty life. Gone. All that was left of him was anote. It read:
"Addressed to someone that cares; if anyone at all-I see no need to live. Life itself seems irreavlent as is love andfriendship. I know of no one that I love or of anyone that loves me.So I give all that I have. All I can offer.
I give you my nothing."
The End.
Very Very (very) Important Authors NotesI wrote this because I was bored. No, I am not a psycho! Well, the important part is I had some help and my friends would kill me if Ididn''t give them a little credit. My friend Shelly gave me the idea towrite this and helped with some of the vocabulary, (come on! Did youreally expect me to use the same words over and over and over and overand over and over and over .)My other friend that helped me is Dax, my fellow Manga Knight. Shewrote a ''nicer'' version of the suicide letter but I corrected a fewlines and added some in. If you are wondering what a ''Manga Knight''is, goto Here Or visit your local library! My pen name is General Celes, ^_^. Well,if Dax & Shelly ever read this on the net .THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
