One sunny day at Treasure Trove Cove, Banjo ran across the sand with Kazooie
ready to barf along the shore. "Hold your breath, Kazooie! We're almost
there!" Banjo yelled over his shoulder. Banjo dove off a diving board he had
put up, only to land pure sand. "Hey, what's the big idea!?!?" Banjo growled
as he spit sand out of his mouth. the pool of water that Banjo had named
Shady Blue Hole had disappeared into the glistening sand. Banjo sputtered
and coughed as the last grain of sand fell to the ground. Shady Blue Hole
had been a special place to Banjo and Kazooie ever since they were just a
tiny bear cub and a red crested breegull chick. Now, all they had was hot,
burning sandy shore surrounding them. "I came here for a nice swim, and this
is what I get!?" Banjo searched for the water until he realized, the ocean
seemed deeper today. Then it hit him. The only one in Treasure Trove Cove
who was mean enough to steal Shady Blue hole was... I can't say it... but I
will... the only one mean enough to do such a thing was Snacker. Banjo and
Kazooie found him fooling around with twice as much water. Snacker said he
would not give it back for all the fish in the sea. "Give it back, Snacker!"
Banjo yelled. "Who's gonna make me, you?!" "Yes, me! " Banjo yelled as he
made a fist. Before Snacker could say another word, Banjo's fist hit Snacker
in the nose. With Snacker out cold, Banjo patched old Leaky up and filled
him with water. Banjo poured it into Shady Blue Hole and swam all day. That
night Banjo and Kazooie ran down the Spiral Mountain knowing Shady Blue Hole
would be there forever.
