The Camarilla is the Largest single sect of Vampire as well as the most open; theoretically any Vampire may claim membership, regardless of lieage. In fact, the Camarilla assumes that all Vampires are members of thier sect "Whether They want to be or not".
The Camarilla's primary concern is mantenace and preservation of the Masquerade. The sect was founded in the 14th century in response to the growing influence of the Inquisition. Over the centuries the leades of this sect have make several attempts to gain more and more power over certain aspects of the Vamipiric existence, each attempt that failed end up in Great wars of Ages.
