THWACK!!! The young bushi grinned and gripped his Tetsubo tightly.
THWACK!!! One by one, the goblins were dropping like flies, as Hida Batsu swung his Tetsubo with reckless abandon.
THWACK!!! "I could do this all day!"
The pattern of smashing noises was broken by the sound of a blade, cutting one of the Goblin heads clean off.
"Now now Batsu, I can't let you have all the fun!"
"Quit complaining Sakura, you got more kills than me last time!"
"What can I say? I was having a good day."
"Good day?" Batsu replied, "You hit me in the back of my head with a rock!"
"You should have worn your helmet!"
"I was wearing my helmet!"
"Ha! If you wore a helmet and still got knocked out, you didn't deserve the kills!"
"It was a big rock!"
"Excuses, excuses, little brother," she said as she laughed heartily.
The siblings' banter ended quickly when they heard a thud neither was responsible for. Sakura spun around to see what the commotion was, only to find a goblin, doubled over laughing over the siblings argument. One by one, the other goblins followed their leader's example, until their hideous laughter was all that could be heard.
"You know sister," Batsu said as he once again tightened his grip, "I'll bet there's enough of them here so that we could both have fun!"
"Now you're talking, Batsu" Sakura smiled and began to trace her fingers down the hilt of her Katana. "Just remember..." On that note, Sakura drew her sword and took the head of the nearest goblin. "Ladies first!"
"Wow, you guys get to have all the fun."
"Yeah Hokuto, just isn't the same around here without you. Maybe later I can tell you a few more stories."
"That'd be nice. I'm just glad Tsukune decided to send me here instead of Tetsu with the message, Sakura. I haven't seen any excitement since I was last in the Crane lands and Daidoji Rekai was hitting on me."
"Wow, she hit on you?" Batsu jumped into the conversation.
"Damn, last time I tried to flirt with her, she ignored me. Guess I was too manly for her."
"Heh, sounds like her. Then again, ever since she got that 'gift' from Kamoko, she has been kinda occupied."
"No wonder!" Batsu storms out of the room in disgust.
"Forgive my brother Hokuto, he's a little, well, not used to stuff like that."
"It's ok, I get stuff like that alot. I'm used to it."
"So how long will you be staying here? Long enough to go out to play with us tomorrow?"
"I don't know, you know I'm not that good when it comes to stuff like that."
"Oh don't worry, it'll be fun! If nothing else, you can just watch, it'll be like the old days."
"I guess you're right Sakura, when should we head out?"
"Damn it Sakura, that rock hurt!" Batsu exclaimed as he rubbed his head.
"Hahaha, you were right Sakura, just like the old days."
