Friday 4 June, 1999 9:19 Launch Tomorrow We'll switch to the new site tomorrow. We'll continue updating the site there and we'll still bring you Carmageddon 2 news, but the main subjects are C:TDR2K and Carmageddon Online. The site will be simple, but we think it's good enough. It's looks like some of our previous sites. But there will be some changes in the future of course. Some screenshots, images, and pages aren't finished and uploaded yet so please be patient while we are fixing these 'problems'. There will be some shockwave features too, so get the Shockwave Plug-In. Where's The News ?! We're still waiting some Carmageddon news. We haven't got/found any for the last few days, or even weeks. The site is finished except for some empty pages so we really want to launch it. We'll request for information today so we can launch our new site soon. We also decided to do the news for Carmageddon 2, because people are still editing and enjoying the game. Please check back to see the new site being launched. Thursday 3 June, 1999 8:44 Problems We're having some problems translating the site to the Dutch language, so please; if you have chosen the Dutch language please select one from the ones left and put your (nick) name on the Message Board or mail us. Secondary Language The secondary language will be.... Dutch ! The site will be launched in 1-2 weeks, but there won't be much information. We're trying to have some features in Flash, but this can take a while because we don't have any good ideas yet. When the site will be launched there will be the primary language, English. Dutch French Italian German Choice We're almost finished, we just need to add some things. There will be an intro (in Shockwave) and even the visitors have a choice. You, the visitor, have 2 days to vote for a language you want to see in the new Carmageddon site. The primary language will be English, but for those who don't understand the primary language we have a secondary language. We'll see. Let's hope SCi send us a lot of new information and screenshots... Music Instructor Saturday 29 May, 1999 14:28 Not Many News After 4 days I'm finally updating the site. People are paying attention to Carmageddon: The Deathrace 2000 now and not to Carmageddon Online. Let's not forget this new title too. On the 15th of June (maybe later) a completely new site will be launched which is all about Carmageddon: The Deathrace 2000 and Carmageddon Online. There will be some features made with Flash. But don't forget, I can't update the site that much because there isn't any news released the latest days. When you enter this site, minimize the first pop-up you see. That should fix the problem. All other pop-ups will load in the minimized pop-up now. Music Instructor Monday 24 May, 1999 8:41 A Totally New Screenshot We just received a new screenshot from SCi from C:TDR2K and it looks great ! Check it out: ...And Even More Info Well, it's Sunday now but the date says Monday. That means that I've already put the news for Monday online. You'll also notice that the time isn't available. SCi gave me some answers to my questions. Please note: A few things are changed. Here they are: 1. When will a demo be released ? Demo's are very much tied into the PR & Marketing of a title. Therefore the exact date of a demo can not be given BUT the development of a demo is scheduled in and is likely to be complete around September time. 2. With what system requirements will C:TDR2K run ? It's too soon to say. However the minimum system requirements should be no more than a P200MMX with a 2 or 4Mb video card. Carmageddon: TDR2000 has a VERY scaleable engine. In other words we expect that on a P200MMX a player would have a great, playable game with a respectable framerate (e.g. above 15fps). However the more hardware you can throw at Carmageddon: TDR2000 the better it gets - for instance I've seen it running on a PIII-500, 256Mb, Matrox G400Max at 1600x1200 in 32 bit colour and the G400's bump mapping and it's awesome! Music Instructor Sunday 23 May, 1999 9:44 Some C:TDR2K Info Well, we have a little bit more info about the next Carmageddon title, Carmageddon: The Deathrace 2000. The new Carmageddon engine will run on the same hardware as Carmageddon II did but with double the framerate. The engine also supports DirectX 7.0 and the "new" Windows 2000. You can say that C:TDR2K will have better graphics than C2:CN!. That's it. See you tomorrow. Carmageddon "3" Movie I've just seen a part of the Deathrace 2000 movie and I must say it looks great. I'm talking about the game now, the movie was from the game. Ok, objects can't be knocked down yet and the car doesn't have any damage after a crash but that's why it says "Work In Progress" :) . Could someone send me some screenshots of the Eagle ? The Eagle from the 1st Carmageddon game, and one from Carmageddon 2. Both have to be taken from the side (not the front or back). If you can send us a 'dark' screenshot/picture of Max Damage, then we'll put more screenshots here. With 'dark' we mean a gray picture or a dark blue, but it has to be 'dark'. The section contains some information about the new Carmageddon game and it also includes the logo and four screenshots. We'll try to add one more later. We'll try to improve the graphics this week and maybe we can add some new things. Carmageddon: The Deathrace 2000 Soon we will have a page available with only C:TDR2K info. It's almost finished. Music Instructor Saturday 15 May, 1999 16:06 Fixed Ok, the site is finished and the errors are fixed now. If you still see the old design, then choose your favourite design: Old Design - New Design We also found a way to 'get rid' of the annoying pop-ups. Let all pop-ups appear and let them load. If correct, one will stay. Just click on the "-" sign to minimize the pop-up window. When the banners rotate now, no pop-ups will appear anymore. New Design Well, this is the new design for a while. Hope you like it. If not, please send me your comments by sending an e-mail. Some graphics will be improved later and a logo will be added next week. By clicking on an image on the left, a new menu will open below. You can choose your section here. You have to know that the site is in an early beta stage and will be updated with more things later.
