Story: As one of the three most prominent Edenian children still living in 1995, Jade is the only who is completely ignorant of her past. Like most other Edenians, she was trained as a warrior from childhood.
She quickly exhibited her talents as a huntress and began to serve Kahn in that respect. Jade tracked down and neutralized chosen enemies of the crown.
Jade acquired a pair of copper fans and, with some tutoring from her close friend Princess Kitana, learned to harness their capabilities well. In 1993, she was dispatched as the chief of Shang Tsung's troops when he was to take over the Earth through Mortal Kombat. There she met Reptile, Tsung's bodyguard.
Jade helped Reptile stage the capture of Kano and Sonya and Shang tsung brought them before Shao Kahn at the end of the tournament. Kahn was impressed with her actions and promoted her. In the coming tournament, she would make sure that no one got as far as Shang Tsung, and thus, none would reach Kahn either.

Jade fought well for Kahn, her copper fans inflicting heavy damage into the human ranks. But it was not to be. The Humans left unhindered.
Once again, Jade was promoted for her services to Kahn. She was rewarded with a large, abandoned desert and given a kinetic staff, that could form kinetic boomerangs on command. She set aside her copper fans and took up the deadly weapon, instantly exhibiting her talent with it. Then they began to prepare for the invasion.
After Sindel was reborn, Kitana killed her sister, Mileena, and was accused of treason by the High Courts of the Outworld. Sentenced to death, Kitana fled.
Jade found herself questioning her priorities when she was appointed to assist Reptile in apprehending the renegade princess, and she was ordered to bring her back alive.
Upon confronting the princess, Jade learned that Reptile had been given other orders, he was to kill Kitana regardless. Kitana also informed Jade of her true past, that she was a friend to the crown of Edenia, and that she couldn't throw that away. Jade turned on Reptile and fled with Kitana.
Together, the two helped Liu Kang to bring Shao Kahn's rule crashing down. Jade was given a high position in the Edenian castle when Sindel realized her past and the world was reformed.
Two years later, the daughter of Edenia's Ambassador to new realms, Tanya, invited a group of refugees fleeing their own world into Edenia. Soon it was discovered that these refugees were led by none other than Shinnok himself. Now Jade and her friends' world is threatened by a force more powerful than ever before.
