Story: Jarek was part of the legendary Black Dragon Organization. This sect of thieves, assassins, and downright thugs waited nervously for Kabal to return with Kano. He never did. Before him came the invasion. After the invasion, the Black Dragon went off in all different directions to try and use the chaos to their advantage. One by one, they were picked off the FBI special forces. Finally, Jarek was all that remained of the Black Dragon.
Jarek managed to retrace his predecessor's footsteps back to the island where he disappeared from in the first place. There he found the portal, and escaped into Edenia. There he found utter chaos.
Sonya caught up to him and informed him of what was going on, that Shinnok was waging war on the Elder Gods, and if he won, it would mean total annihilation of the human race.
Jarek, realizing that no profit would be gained by the extinction of humanity joined forces with Sonya and battled Shinnok and his forces.
