Story: Before Shinnok's war that plunged Earth into darkness, the Raptors inhabited Earth. Having evolved over millions of years into intelligent, humanoid reptiles, they fled when the war began, and populated their dying race in the realm of Zaterra. Then the menace of Kahn arrived, and they lost the Mortal Kombat. Zaterra was added as a crowning jewel to the Outworld.
The Raptors were enslaved and brought to near extinction. Then, when one female was born, Khameleon, she was smuggled into Edenia.
Then Kahn's reign came down upon Edenia, and Khameleon went into hiding in the jungle islands off coast of Edenia Capital. During this time, she managed to steal a set of steel fans from Princess Kitana. She soon mastered these weapons with skill, agility, and accuracy.
Khameleon resurfaced when she learned that Earth, her race's native world, was in their tenth, and most crucial tournament, she crept through the Portal and watched the tournament go on. She read the stars and, hoping to turn the tides towards Earth, guided the Chosen Warriors of Earth through their dreams and unconsciously told them how to defeat Goro.
Since she was native to Earth, she couldn't interfere, only watch, the second, Outworld tournament.
Then, Sindel was reborn.
Khameleon tried to warn the Earth warriors, but it was too late. Shao Kahn stripped the world of every living soul. Then he sent out the extermination squads to rob the Chosen Warriors of their lives, as their souls were untouchable. Khameleon remained in hiding, randomly lashing out at Outworld warriors, only to find Reptile.
She had known for ages that Reptile lived, as the only other of her race. She then began to follow him.
He confronted Jade and Kitana, and she attacked him and left him for dead. Khameleon dragged him back to her lair and bandaged him up. She then informed him of the whole truth, that Kahn had hardly the power to carry out his promise of their race's resurrection, and that it was the Dark Emperor himself who was responsible for their race's near extinction.
The couple assisted in the Emperor's downfall, and then fled through the shifting portal, to arrive back on Zaterra. They then slipped into depression and took their anger of loneliness throughout other realms.
Tearing off their masks of humanity, Khameleon and Reptile ran off together, spreading the pain of their dead race among others in acts of genocide. Many races reached extinction in their orgy of carnage.
The Elder Gods caught up with them, and tossed them into the Netherealm. Reptile had grown to realize who was in power, and he soon recognized Shinnok as this person. Reptile immediately joined the Army of Darkness and waged war upon the Elder Gods, knowing that if Shinnok gained the power he sought, he could do what Kahn could never accomplish: resurrect the Raptors.
Reptile left with Shinnok and his army, leaving Khameleon waiting for her love in the tortures of the Netherealm.
