Story: Meat was a warrior who committed such atrocious crimes on thousands of worlds over the eons. It was sometimes said that he was even more ruthless than Shinnok himself.
Meat was finally caught up to by agents of the Elder Gods. It seemed that his crimes were so grotesque, that existence in the Netherealm was not punishment enough. The Gods stripped Meat of all his skin, but made him still live. He would be in eternal, unspeakable pain, and that was the worst punishment the gods ever gave to anyone.
Meat existed in the Netherealm. At first he writhed in pain and self-pity, but then realized that he couldn't do anything about his predicament indulged in self-pity, and so went to seek help.
He sought out Quan Chi, the free roaming sorcerer who was the most trusted advisor to Shinnok. He offered his services to Quan Chi in return for his skin.
Quan Chi tried, but couldn't grant Meat his skin back, instead, however, he cast a spell which relieved him of the awful pain that came to a skinless man.
Meat joined Shinnok's army of Darkness when they crossed over into Edenia. However, he then departed from the army without explanation. Then a general in the army mysteriously died.
It appeared that Meat had struck another deal with a sorcerer from Edenia. If he succeeded in taking out most of the army, the sorcerer would grant him his skin.
Meat was discovered and then disappeared, lashing out randomly at those whom he thought deserved his wrath. He was a wild card in the celestial war, only fighting to save his own . . . skin.
