FOREIGN PLANET
By Articuna16
I look upon this savage world,
with skeptic eyes
and cruel
ignorance.
Yet, as I live and walk
among these people,
so surprising can they be
and how so many ways they
have taught me.
I look into their eyes,
and see strength that will surpass
our own one day.
Their ways are strange.
Their minds are closed.
But their hearts seem to glow
like fire.
Everytime,
I step into their shoes,
I feel so many ways
beyond.
I taste,
I see,
and I touch a world
unknown to me.
My friends,
my only people here,
perplex me.
For they care so much for me,
a stranger on their world.
I sense my brother within
them,
through every battle and every hurt
they must endure from his
gift bestowed upon them.
I say I fight for my prince,
our leader,
but in truth I fight for them.
I fight for this foreign planet,
because they are my people, too.
And every night,
I gaze into the home star,
knowing I am the only Andalite,
and knowing that I am not
the only one alone.
