Weapons

Goldeneye 007 offers a very large variety of weapons. While it is
true that different people like different weapons, there
are a few that are widely liked. Here's a description, and a little pic
of all them guns!

Throwing Knife-C'mon. The only place that you're really gonna use
this is in multiplayer. The only place in the game where
you get it is in 2nd Bunker. While the throwing knives
won't run out if you pick 'em back up, still, they're
pointless.

PP7-In almost every mission, at one point or another you'll have
a PP7. Of course, as you get further in the level
you'll probably pick up a more powerful gun. The PP7 holds up to
7 bullets at once. It comes silenced, normal, and the PP7
special issue is just smaller than the others.

Hunting Knife-The only way to use hunting knives is by activating
the cheat. They are close-range weapons, so
chances are you'll get shot before you can use 'em. Really,
the only reason to use the cheat is to hear that
nasty sound when you kill someone.

DD44 Dostovei-Though this gun is loud, it's powerful enough to
burst you through the toughest level. You'll usually pick these
up from soviet guards. The only problem is, you'll be
in a swarm of guards if you use one indoors.

Klobb-Some of you might be confused about the Spyder in the
Goldeneye manual. Well, it's exactly the same as the Klobb. While
I cannot stand the Klobb, some people like it. With
slow automatic fire, and almost no power, look for a different
gun.

Cougar Magnum- The only bad thing about this gun is its recoil.
Otherwise, it's great. With unlimited power, and the
old revolver look, this gun is a favorite. The only way to
get it is through cheats.

D5K Deustche-Though the name is impossible, it's easy to see this
gun kicks! With high power, and the ability to be
silenced, this is one of my top picks!

ZMG 9MM-The speed of this gun is what impresses me most. If only
it were a little quieter, and a little more powerful, it
would be one of my picks.

RC-P90-That's it! Send the other guns home. This wins the award
for the best gun in Goldeneye! With the ability to hold
80 bullets at once, mind-boggling speed, and unstoppable
power, this gun rocks! Who cares that it's loud,
since you can do away with those guards so easy!

KF7 Soviet-In most levels, at one point or another, you'll pick
up this gun. With so-so speed and good stopping power, the
soviet will do the job.

Phantom-The only place you'll find the phantom without cheats is
Frigate. Quick firing, high power, but too much noise for
the Frigate.

AR33 Assault Rifle-This gun comes in second to the RC-P90. With
lightning quick speed, and unstoppable power, the AR33
will do you good.

Rocket Launcher-The Rocket Launcher should only be used for
destroying things. Since it blows up on contact, it's not very
good for killing a person.

Grenade Launcher-Like the Rocket Launcher, the Grenade launcher
should be used for blowin' stuff up. The Grenade
Launcher is one of my personal favorites for multiplayer.

Grenades- You won't use 'em much, but when you do, do this. When
you press Z, you'll pull the pin and throw the grenade.
Instead, hold Z for 2 or 3 seconds, then let go. This
way, the target won't move away.

Sniper Rifle-Only use the Sniper Rifle for, what else, sniping.
When you aim, press C-Up to zoom in even more. Great
for picking off annoying guards from long range.

Proximity Mines-You'll only use 'em in multiplayer. Remember,
when you throw one, do not run in front of it. It'll blow up and
you'll die. Remember where you place them, so they don't
kill you.

Remote Mines-When you place one, you can blow 'em up from a safe
distance. Really good for blowing things up without
dying. You'll actually use them alot.

Timed Mines-You'll use these mines in Runway, but you don't use
them that much. Throw one, then move away, 'cause it will
blow up after a few seconds.
