HOLY THISTLE SPELL

A small amount is put in a red bag and carried in the pocket or purse. Said to bring good luck if replaced fresh every seven days. Used to call spirits by some psychic people. The herb is made into a boiling tea. The tea is kept steaming, and the user lies down near it and concentrates on receiving spiritual messages..

FUNERAL OR LETTING GO OF BAD HABITS

This was mainly made for children who have the ability to draw pictures of that which is bothering them, but many witches that I know ( myself included ) also draw sometimes to help face or in this case say goodbye to someone that you didn't have a chance to say goodbye to or let go of something that you need to.

All that is needed is a piece of paper that you drew the form of that which you need to let go of and a running body of water, if this is a person that you drew it may be helpful to have a pocket full of their favorite flower's petals or something else they like.

All you have to do is look at the drawing and say goodbye say whatever you need to get off your chest and speak from the heart, then drop the picture into the water And toss the flower petals into the water after it, and watch the picture until it is completely out of your sight, then walk away and don't look back.

LETTING GO OF FEAR, ANGER, OR NEGATIVITY ...

Visualization type of spell!
(Insert one, fear, anger, or negativity)....
As an example I'm using fear!...

Example: Fear leave my toes, my legs, my hips, my stomach, my heart my shoulders, my neck, my head, fear begone!......Do it as much as possible until physical sensation of fear and pain are gone!....it will get rid of fear, anger or negativity!....See it leaving out the top of your head!.....

To BREAK A HABIT

During the waning time of the moon, light a black candle.
On a piece of parchment paper, write down the habit you wish to be rid of.
Meditate on the paper until you are in a completely relaxed state.
Then burn the paper in the candle, and say:

I rid me of thee
May you never return
So mote it be.

Then visualize your new self, without the habit.
Do this for a week before the New Moon.

BIRTHDAY RITUAL

Materials:
Altar
white candle
black candle
cauldron
pen
2 pieces of paper
good luck oil
banishing oil
petitioner candle (see chart of candle magick page)
incense

Construct magick circle.
Call Quarters.
Construct Altar.
Invoke Goddess and God.
Light incense.

Anoint black candle with banishing oil, imagining all obstacles, ill habits etc. falling away from you.
Light candle and say,

"I empower this candle to absorb
all negative forces acting upon me.
As this candle burns, so let its powers
engulf all negative energies, leaving my
path clear for success."

Anoint white candle ith good luck oil, imagining all good thoughts, successes and positive forces flocking unto you. Light candle and say,

"I empower this candle to attract all powers
wondrous and good. As this candle burns, so might it
purify me as I prepare for this next journey."

Light petitioner candle and say,

"As this candle represents myself, the humbles priest/ess,
let it be a beacon for positive energies, love,light and prosperity.
As this candle burns bright, so may the light of my journey burn bright
with happiness and gifts from the Lord and the Lady in this coming year."

Place this candle between the white and black.

Take a moment to reflect on your past year. Especially reflect on regrets, flaws you have, mistakes you have made. Write these down on the paper.
Then burn the paper over the black candle and say,

"As the snake sheds its skin,
so do I shed these bad habits."

Drop this paper in the cauldron.

Reflect on all things you wish to accomplish in your coming year, all traits you wish to acquire, experiences you hope to gain. Write these down on the paper.
Burn this paper over the white candle and say,

"As the Lady watches over me,
so shall I gain all these good things."

Drop this in the cauldron.

Raise your arms and say,

"On this day of my birth,
may my magick be replenished and empowered.
May my body be flushed
with the light of the Lord and the LAdy."

Thank the God and Goddess.
Cakes and wine.
Close the circle.
Your rite is done.

SOUL SIGHT

The following is a concentration or what some might call a Divination, which I call "Soul Sight." Each time we are reincarnated, though our physical form changes, it is my belief, as well as many others that I know, that our Soul does not. This Ritual will help you to see what your soul looks like. (Be fore-warned, many people, myself included, do this expecting to see one thing, but discover something completely different. Do not be afraid of what you see, that is who you are.)

This can be done at any time and on any day. But, it works best if performed on the night of the new moon. You will need one White Candle, a dark room (the bathroom usually works best), and a mirror large enough to see most of, if not, your whole self.

After spending 30 minutes in quiet meditation, go into the dark room, light the candle, and set it somewhere that the light can shine on you but not directly on the mirror. Concentrate on the image in the mirror, after a few minutes, the image will blur, and as it comes back into focus, you will see, if only for a few seconds, sometimes more, sometimes less, what your soul looks like.
