The  Red Ribbon Series
After the Budoukai, he goes on a quest to find his grandfather's 4 star Dragon Ball (after Shenlong made
Oolong's wish, he spread all 7 balls throughout the world ) and soon finds that he's not the only one after
the balls. Both Pilaf and Red Ribbon are after the Dragon Balls for their own use (Pilaf wants to be the
ruler of the world, while Comm.Red wants to use them to become tall (yes, tall... he's a short person) ).

After trashing both Pilaf and about half of Red Ribbon's troops, Red hires Tao Pai Pai ( he asks 1 billion
zenni, which stuns both Comm.Red and Sgt. Black ) to finish Son Gokou and bring his Dragon Balls (
Tao Pai Pai asks a bonus for each ball ). Then Tao Pai Pai heads to Seichi Karin ( Seichi Karin is the
land that surrounds Karin Tower ), where Son Gokou is resting with an indian (Bora) and his son (Upa).
When Tao Pai Pai arrives, no-one knows who this stranger is, but when he says that he was hired by
Red Ribbon to kill Son Gokou and collect the Dragon Balls, Bora tries to defend Son Gokou (he had
saved Upa from Yellow Taisa, another of Red Ribbon's henchmen). Bora dies with a spear in his chest.
Then Son Gokou and Tao Pai Pai fight. Soon Tao Pai Pai proves to be superior, and even resists Son
Gokou's Kamehameha attack. That pisses Tao Pai Pai enough for him to use Dodon-pa against Son
Gokou (which almost finishes him off, but the 4 star dragon ball protected him from part of the blast).
Gokou is knocked uncounscious and Tao Pai Pai takes Gokou's bag with 3 dragon balls (he had four. 3
in the bag and another with him) Then he rushes off to get some clothes on a city. Gokou awakens and
climbs Karin Tower.

Up there, he fights with Karin (a cat, but is very powerful and fast) for the Chousei water, which is
rumoured to give great powers to any person who drinks it. He takes 3 days to get it (Kamesennin had
taken 3 years to get it), but the Chousei water is just... water. Then Karin explains that what gives the
strength isn't the water, but the fight to achieve it (Gokou had initially taken 24 hours to climb the tower,
but later he had taken 3 hours to both go down the tower and climb it again). Then Son Gokou rushed
down the tower and prepared to face Tao Pai Pai once more. When Tao Pai Pai arrives, Gokou is still
going down with Kintoun, so he asks Upa where Gokou is. When Gokou arrives, he saves Upa from
being smashed into the tower, and then fights Tao Pai Pai. This time, it's Tao Pai Pai who's taking the
punishment and even his Dodon-pa fails (Gokou grabs it sucessfully). After some more fighting, Tao Pai
Pai "surrenders" to Son Gokou. But when Gokou seems to be off guard, Tao Pai Pai throws a grenade
at him and jumps to avoid the blast. Son Gokou just jumps into the grenade and kicks it back to Tao Pai
Pai (who gets killed ). Gokou then recovers the dragon balls and promises to use the dragon balls to
revive Bora. Then Gokou heads to Red Ribbon HQ.

Thinking that it's Tao Pai Pai, Comm. Red deactivates the defences, but when a RR chopper got a visual
contact with "Tao Pai Pai"... Son Gokou passes the defences (even after they were activated!) and fights
his way to the dragon balls. After a lot of fighting, he finally recovered all dragon balls, except one (it
didn't show up on the radar Bulma had given to Son Gokou). He found out that Bulma had followed him
to RR HQ and so he gave her the radar for repairs. But Bulma realised that nothing was wrong with the
radar and then Kamesennin suggested going to Uranai Obaba's estate and ask her where the last ball is
(she's Kamesennin sister and a bit... crazy? just see :) ).

When they get there they find out that Obaba will only tell them where the ball is if they either pay 10
million zenni or beat her 5 warriors. They choose to fight (they couldn't afford to pay) and, after a LOT
of troubles, Son Gokou gets to fight the fifth warrior (a man with a mask on his head). Both Kamesennin
and Son Gokou find him rather familiar, but it is not until he uses Kamehameha against Gokou that
Kamesennin recognises the fighter as being...(wait a few lines, please :) ). Gokou fires back with another
Kamehameha (which stuns the masked warrior) and misses by less than an inch (the attack made a hole
on the ground and threw the masked warrior a few inches back). After that, the masked warrior catches
Gokou's tail (his one weakness... if his tail is grabbed, he loses his strength) and starts pounding Gokou.
He, however, pushes Gokou's tail too hard and it snaps off. Then the warrior surrenders and removes
his mask. He's actually Son Gohan, Son Gokou's grandfather. After he leaves, Obaba tells the group
where the last ball is and Gokou goes to retrieve it. After some fighting with Pilaf and his henchmen (they
were in robots) Gokou finally wins and retrieves the last ball. Gokou goes to Seichi Karin again (with
Upa) and revives Bora (this time, Son Gokou jumps toward the balls and catches the 4 star ball before it
heads off with the others). When he return to Uranai Obaba's estate, Kamesennin tells Gokou to travel
around the globe on foot to develop both his strength and his view of the world. After that, everyone
goes to Kame House (except Gokou, who obeys to Kamesennin).

Three years later, Son Gokou meets everyone at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai (everyone, except
Kamesennin,Puat and Oolong, look older). They sign up at the table and then go to have dinner (poor
Kamesennin... Gokou ate for a hundred people and he's the one who's paying ). Next day, in the
stadium, they meet Tenshin-han and Chauza (Gokou recognises them) and then the elimination rounds
start. Son Gokou, like all Kamesennin and Tsurusennin's students and Jackie Chun (Kamesennin in
disguise) were qualified for the Budoukai. In the first combat, Yamcha loses to Tenshin-han (Tenshin
breaks Yamcha's leg(not sure which one)). In the second one, Jackie wins by throwing a stick outside
the arena and the man-wolf (stupidly) behaved like a dog and caught it( he touched the grass outside the
arena and was disqualified ). In the third combat, Krillin narrowly won to Chauza and, in the fourth
combat, Gokou beat Panputto, a movie star (and a wrestler) which decided to participate in the
Budoukai.

In the fifth combat, Jackie Chun forfeits the round, so Tenshin-han is the winner. Sixth combat. Krillin
against Son Gokou. The fight lasts for some time and it looks to be pretty even. Then Krillin grabs
Gokou's tail (it grew again in those 3 years) and Gokou collapses. But he gets up again and states that,
because the tail had been with him for the last 3 years, it had become stronger and so it was no longer a
weakness (I find it useful). Then Gokou sends Krillin out of the ring, thus winning the combat. Then the
last combat starts (this combat is a little complicated, so I won't describe it). After a long fight, the ring is
gone and both Tenshin-han and Gokou are airborne (also very tired and hurt). But Tenshin-han knows
how to float, while Gokou doesn't. Son Gokou uses Kame-Hame to propel himself into Tenshin-han,
which was unable to react to such a move. Both Tenshin and Gokou fall, but Gokou slams into a truck
passing by and falls first (he was going to fall second). Tenshin-han wins. Then Krillin offers to get
Gokou's stuff at the Budoukai's stadium, while everyone goes to a nearby restaurant (Tenshin is paying :) ).
