What, you may ask , is a "philosofurre"?
If you've heard of MUDs, MUCKs, and role-playing, then perhaps you've heard of a being called a "fuzzy" or a "furry", which is an animal-styled character for role-play. A furre is a very special breed of such characters, and livesin a magical place called Furcadia.
A "Philosofurre", as you may now guess , is a furre who ponders deeply on
the meaning of Existence, and theories of the Universe.

It's what I call Furrelosophy

My name is Kyrianna. I am a soft white snow leopard who lives on a country estate near the village of Meovanni in Furcadia. I've met many wonderful furres in my wanderings, and if you should find your way into
this magical land,
I'm sure you too will find some marvelous friends !


Now, some of you might be wondering what "philosophy" has to do with
a land that most humans would consider to be pure fantasy.
Furrelosophy is a search for knowledge and truth,
and because I am a philosofurre, I believe in treating other furres
with respect and kindness, so far as I am able.
Like humans, furres do not always treat
each other with fairness. Misunderstandings can occur when we do not
give others the benefit of the doubt. This, of course, happens far less
in Furcadia than in the "real world" of you humans !



There are many admirable furres who show the strength of their character
by their tolerance, respect, and kind intentions toward others.
I find that I develop a great fondness for such Worthy folk, and have even
been known to begin spinning in a delighted frenzy
when I meet them on the street !

Spinning in Furcadia, by the way,
can have disastrous results, and can attract
the attention of The Evil Lagg, our most dreaded magical enemy,
or one of his minions, The Horrid Servkresh and The Wicked Bordlock.
Done properly and in moderation however, spinning can be
an appropriate expression of great joy or agitation.

Another ethic of furrelosophy that I would like to share with you
concerns The Dreams. A furrelosopher believes in building and exploring Dreams, and respecting
the Dreams of others. You see, it is not only humans that have Dreams.
In Furcadia we have the power
to build a Dream and to live in that Dream... a mighty wonder indeed !
And even more marvelous is our ability in Furcadia to share our Dreams with others!
