The Boar Wars date
back to Earth Season 1615 when two magical boars, one red and one white were discovered
buried beneath a tree in Trilus land. It was learned that the two were the sons of the sow
goddess Mralota. After they were freed the two were sought for over a year before finally
being tracked down and captured, the red by men from Dykene, the white by men from Trilus.
Once in the citadels the boars proved to be great assets as the
piglets they sired where numerous and fat. This new wealth made the kings, Yalaring from
Trilus and Skilfil from Dykene wonder what it would be like to own both boars and made
Glyptus the Good desire to own either or both as well. Thus began the boar wars.

Since the boars were captured in 1616 no king has really tried to
get another boar though that may be about to change. Glyptus has not yet managed to get
his hands on either boar (since the Lunars refuse to help him in petty raids against his
neighbours) but he is certain that this year (1618) will see him in possession of one or
both boars.
