Knight

The horsemen are drawing nearer,
On leather steeds they ride
They have come to take your life
-Metallica, The Four Horsemen

Class Description:
"Do not be afraid to seek Truth, Honor, and Justice. For if successful, your name will be remembered through out time, long after anyone remembers why."
- His Lord and Honor, King Jacob Pendragon, defender of the land of Central

The ideals of those ancient knights that served nobility in protecting the land and the people have returned in this dark time. Riding forth as civilizations' last stronghold, knights provide the glorified ideals of Freedom and Rights. Trained from youth in ancient weapons, the knights stride forth to battle the forces of decadence and corruption.

By serving a code much higher than man, Knights are able to reach a state of moral superiority. But knights are only able to accomplish this through self sacrifice and dedication. If a Knight ever breaks his or her number one or two priority, he or she will lose all experience points for that session and must seek atonement before any more experience can be earned. The conditions of atonement are up to the Game Master.

To counter balance this, Knights are awarded an additional bonus of 5 to resist mind control which would otherwise influence them to break either of these priorities. The bonus of 5 is simply added onto the difficulty for any Mentalist who tries to control the Knight for an unjust purpose (with the intent to force the Knight to break his or her number one or two priorities). By this token, the morals of a Knight are his or her weapon for fighting the forces of evil. Evil being anything with selfish tendencies--those who wish to arrogantly better themselves.

The title of knight means nothing, only the faith in a higher code is important. This is the only uniting factor within this class - the service to a higher order than self. Service to a code is more important than life itself. To a Knight, the powers of the apocalypse are great, and to serve under one would truly be an honor. But at the same time, one must remember to never lose sight of the real goal. To be ethically and morally correct, one must provide his or her services as a gift. But, sometimes corruption can lead a warrior astray and he or she begins to fight for a futile cause--themselves. This is evil. Crush it.

"The only way to truly live is by serving a code. Without one, your life has no honor, hence no meaning..."
