New Waver

I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real

- Nine Inch Nails, Hurt

"Yea, so then I asked him if he was a fire sign, and he said he didn't know. And then that Bitch came walkin' by and said my fishes were too high and they were showin' off my thighs so she made me pull down my cutoffs to cover everything up. Man, I hate that Bitch!"

- Andrea

Class Description:
These youthful hedonists realize that death comes to all, but they try to make their lives as comfortable as possible in the meantime. Parties, drugs, and music all help to dull the painful reality of the lives that surround them. By ignoring reality and adopting a hypothetical philosophy, New Wavers reinforce decadence and misery.

Most New Wavers want to be different in their own special way. To many of them, different means loud spoken, multi pierced, dyed hair, and outrageously dressed. By being different, New Wavers feel that they can avoid the fate that has been bestowed upon the rest of society. This blatant disregard of society allows them to avoid responsibility, thus avoid life.

Because New Wavers do not have enough faith in themselves, they must look elsewhere for support. Be that another person, a god, or the bottom of a bottle of booze. But, all New Wavers must remember to pay respects to the source which has brought them relief to misery and pain. There has to be salvation out there somewhere.

Remember this the next time you are slumped over your toilet bowl--Send a prayer up to the porcelain god.

"Painting a pretty picture of life is easier than facing life itself."
