Man is a predator, an animal by nature, and ever since technology has graced this ball of rock, a Soldier has been there to utilize it for a military purpose. For if the art of war is to be painted with the blood of your enemies, then technology is to be used as the brush. Sure, Magic gave us powerful weapons and armor of legendary quality. Just as religion led hundreds of thousands into glorious battle. But neither has given us the ability to kill so many with just the squeeze of a trigger or the push of a button. God bless technology.
As a killing machine, a soldier's goal is to fulfill the mission. We do not fight for ourselves, or for each other--we fight for our ideals... We fight for you. Through training and strict discipline, a soldier is able to become an efficient tool of war. If it is man's destiny to fight, then it is a soldier's destiny to win that fight.
A great soldier's name will never be remembered, but as long as his country's flag still flies, he will always be revered.
