Class Description:
Ownership is temporary, reappropriation is continual. If you are not holding on to it, then you cannot always prove that you own it. A thief's life is a very discouraging one, because a thief cannot pull off a big job and have a big name, for a famous thief is not a very good one. Thieves must lay low in public to avoid getting caught, all the while taking back a little of what society owes them. Seclusion is the price that a thief must pay in exchange for his or her actions.
Fear is a powerful foe of a criminal, but it is also a motivational factor. Thieves are driven by this fear and often contribute mythical explanations to events. They usually side with the forces of magic because of this reason, for they understand secrecy and the need for seclusion, as do Mages. But, thieves also will side with science and religion when it best serves their interests. Although thieves use the most advanced equipment they can afford to buy or steal, the powers of prayer never hurt anyone.
There is no common appearance of a thief. They can be your next door neighbor or the bum on the street corner who approaches you with twenty five dollar gold ropes. They are everywhere and nowhere. Forever in a hidden state...
Examples of Thieves: Impersonator, Bank Robber, Pick Pocket, Forger, Charlatan
