Titles and Duties

*The Royal Court consists of the Royal House and the Round Table*

Royal House

Queen - The beloved monarch will be treated at all times with the utmost respect. She takes a passive role in the guild but is always there as its backbone and founder.

Royal Advisor - Advises the Royal House in guild matters but like the Queen takes a passive role in the running of the Kingdom.

Prince/Princess - Responsible for overseeing the DKoL. Will take advice from the rest of the Royal Court but reserves the right to make any and all changes he/she sees fit to maintain the smooth running of the guild. Conducts interviews of new applicants with the rest of the Royal Court. Emails new applicants to set up interviews. Maintains the web site and news page (News page only as long as someone else in the guild does not want to take on the job).

Round Table

Count/Countess - Oversees the Barons/Baronesses. Assigns a legion each month to come up with a guild event, and assists in the planning of such event. Participates in interviews with the rest of the Royal Court. Greets new inductees via email; welcoming them to the guild, letting them know what legion they are assigned to, etc. Reports to the Prince/Princess.

Baron/Baroness - Oversees the members in their respective legions, and makes suggestions for promotions and medals. Participates in interviews with the rest of the Royal Court. Responsible for assigning mentors to new legion members and keeping up morale in their legion. Reports to the Count/Countess.

Captain of the Royal Guard - Responsible for the training of the Royal Guard and for selection of its members (with the Royal House's final approval). With the members of the Guard, polices the guild channel and handles any problems or incidents that may arise on or off channel. Reports any such incidents to the Royal House. Participates in interviews with the rest of the Royal Court. Reports to the Prince/Princess.

Ambassador - Responsible for all alliances and treaties with the DKoL. Oversees the diplomats, and assigns them to guilds that are being considered for alliances. Reports all alliance info to the Royal House. Reports to the Prince/Princess.

Royal Page - Sits in on all general guild meetings and all Royal Court meetings. Takes minutes from each meeting and forwards them to the appropriate people (General guild minutes go to all members, Royal Court minutes go to the members of the RC only). Minutes to consist of who attended, what time the meeting started and ended, and what was discussed. Is responsible for announcing new members to the rest of the guild through email and/or on the message board. Moderates the message board. Reports to the Prince/Princess.

Other Titles and Duties

The Royal Guard - Responsible for the defense and well-being of the guild and its members. At any time they may be called upon to mediate a dispute or defend a member from harrassment, and should be prepared to have their PvP turned on if necessary. The Guard will train under their Captain, holding frequent sparring matches to keep up their skills. The Guard is also responsible, with their Captain, for policing the guild channel and handling any problems or disruptions that may arise. Reports to the Captain.

Diplomats - Responsible for maintaining relations between the DKoL and their allied guilds. Visits the channel of the guild they are assigned to and attends any functions of the allied guild (weddings, etc.) as a representative of the DKoL. Will compose monthly reports of their assigned guild(s), consisting of Guild name, Web site address, Channel number, Number of members, Names of the leader(s) and Ambassador, Latest contact, Next scheduled event, and any comments the diplomat wishes to make. Report to the Ambassador.

Mystics - Will do all enchants for guild members at a cost no higher than is necessary. Follow their regular Chain of Command.

Smiths - Will do all armor- and weapon-smithing for guild members at a cost no higher than is necessary. Follow their regular Chain of Command.

Mentors - Help new members in their legion to get acclimated to the guild, taking them hunting, introducing them to the other members of the DKoL, etc. Follow their regular Chain of Command.

Herald(s) - Responsible for greeting new arrivals to the guild channel in a welcoming and lively manner, and keeping up channel conversation. Should be aware of the names and ranks of leaders in allied guilds. Follow their regular Chain of Command.
