Professor Utonium created the Power Puff Girls by combining sugar, spice, everything nice, and chemical X.  He loves the girls and is very nice to them, as well as being fascinated by their abilities.  He is lonely because he does not have a wife but is shy around beautiful women.  Professor Utonium is a brave man but dislikes spiders.
