If you click with one of those decks on a character portrait, 
you will get an increase of stat's or resistances. If you do it 
in january, you will get an increase of might, etc (same order

I'm not sure about that, but the level of increase also depends 
on the day in the month (day 1-10 gives a higher increase than 
day 11 to 20).

But there are side-effects: the character becomes insane, death 
or whatever.

Someone posted some weeks ago, that using it on day 28 (last day
of the month in Enroth) has no side-effects.

So I suggest to use them during the last months of the year, as 
resistances seem much more important than primary stat 
increases.

Using them on a character (right click on the portrait) raises 
the stat that would be raised if you went to the right shrine in 
this month (using the Deck in January raises Might etc.). The 
bonus is equal to the week you use it on (using it on the 4th 
week of the month gives +4 to the stat etc.).
