Mako Energy is the life Energy of the planet. This energy can also be changed into a form of Electricity, for use in the powering of buildings, and everything else. Through this, a company name Shinra, figured out how to use this energy, and convert it. They built large reactors, as seen above, and used this energy to basically take over the world. Mako energy is also the Cetra's energy, for the Cetra, or Ancients, are one with the planet. The only remaining Cetra, Aeris, can feel the planet cry out for help as Shinra drains it of all its energy. Mako is the main reason Avalanche was started, because the Reactors are destroying the world. Mako is also used to power Shinra's main gun, a huge mammoth Weapon which destroys the diamond Weapon.
