!!! Multiplayer Guide !!! Tips and Tactics !!!
Guide for two players game (but also helps in more players mode)

1. The first and most important thing is to configure your keyboard keys (for the game) as much better as you can !!! Here are the keys I play with (I thing they are the most comfortable keys ever created) :
I use the original configuration for Movement (Forward ,Back ,Left ,Right keys) , Shooting (left Control ) , Strafe (left Alt + Right , Left Movement key) , Jump (A) , Crouch (Z) , Open (Space bar) . I use also Space bar for the Medkit (Cool , cannot forget about it and easy to press) , left Shift for Jetpack (also great ) , S key for RPG , X key for Shotgun , Q key for Pistol (near then key 2) , W key for Devastator , Caps Lock key for Shrinker (You do not need run mode button. It is useless and can only confuse you when you switch your run mode off) , Tab key for Quick Kick (very helpful and near then "~" key) and Tab key also for Steroids .Try this configuration (I think it is great) . If you create your own configuration (better then mine) do not hesitate to contact me and tell me about it .

2. You have to practice very much with your configuration keys to feel comfortable when you play. Try to play vs. Computer (to practice) but not in the normal way . First delete all your demo files in Duke3d directory then run Duke in this way :
duke3d /q4 /tx

This will allow you to play as you play in multiplayer mode with respowning and all other mplayer game stuff.

3. When you feel comfortable with your keys you are ready for action against other human player. Here are some multiplayer maps (good for multiplayer playing) :
L.A. Rumble , Hollywood Holocaust , Red Light District , Freeway , Going Postal , Faces Of Death … This maps have many weapons and atomic healths .

4. Very important thing is to know all this multiplayer maps very well .First try to get more powerful weapon then the pistol . Try to find shotgun or rpg . Keep an eye for medkit and atomic health (the armor is very important also). Do not hesitate to waste ammo. When you are killed all your ammo is wasted. When you go out through the door or just moving shoot in dark sides .There is a great chance that you will kill your opponent without seeing him/her. Do not use only the RPG. As it is the most powerful weapon it is not the best weapon for all situations. In outside places or in a big rooms good player can kill you with shotgun , playing against your RPG , very easy. In a direct combat do not forget to jump. This will make you bad target (you can even jump over your enemy's rockets). Jetpack and Steroids can be very useful items if you learn how to use them. When you see that you are under 100 health just switch your Jetpack or Steroids and escape the combat. Here are some descriptions and tactics for all different weapons :

2. Pistol - Extremely good weapon for very long distance. Armed with this weapon you can kill your enemy without he/she even see you . The Pistol have not any damage penalties depending on distance. Also very good for flying (with Jetpack) Dukes.
3. Shotgun - I think this is the best weapon. Very good to use in large sites and from not very long distance. Also good idea to use it when you run after your enemy. Also good to use in air combats.
4. Chaingun cannon - I do not like this weapon. It takes damage only when you are very close to your enemy. Good only when the other one has no good weapon.
5. RPG - Extremely powerful weapon .Two rockets will kill you when you are 200/100 with medkit. Excellent against weak players and in small rooms where you can hit the wall and take damage or kill the other player. Very poor weapon against good players and at large rooms or outside.
6. Pipebombs - Use them (in multiplayer game) only when you play vs. very weak player. In other case useless in mplayer game.
7. Shrinker weapon - Very nasty weapon. Can kill you when you are 200/100 in one shot. I think the good players must not use it because it is not a fair play weapon. It is good idea to have Steroids any time you play against people who love Shrinker. When someone shrinks you use the steroids. After 3-4 sec. the Steroids will expand you to your normal size. Also you can not be shrinked when you are using Steroids.
8. Devastator - Very good weapon in small rooms or if you are very precise shooter. Otherwise waste of ammo.
9. Laser tripbombs - If you are nasty use them for easy frags .
10. Freezethrower - Good weapon but not against RPG or Shotgun. When you kill your enemy with it there will be an atomic health to take .COOL!!!
