"No way...."
Humans are all walking everywhere, it's a crowded place. This looks like Earth. Can this be my hometown? Koromon is back to Koromon now. "Hey tell me, is this world for real? Or am I imagining it?" I ask a girl staring oddly at me. She seems puzzled.
"We just want to know if your a real human being," Koromon asks intently.
The girl starts to squint and her face folds up, tears form in her eyes, and she starts crying in the top of her lungs. Now everyone is staring at us. I pick up Koromon and tell him to pretend he's a soccer ball. I carry him under my arm and quickly walk away. I look around, this is my hometown; that was the park I grew up in. I decide to go home. "This has got to be the happiest day of my life! I'm home, I'm home. I'm home!" I say happily to Koromon. I give him a big hug. I hope the others are back home too. I take Koromon home. He even asks me, if all those rooms are mine. I laugh and explain it's an apartment...lots of families live there.
I arrive in front of my front door. I reach my hand out to the door handle, I turn it. "It's unlocked," I say surprised. "I remember when my mom planted those flowers. I remember buzzing my friends up on the intercom to come over to play video games and watch TV and the time my dad put the family name plate beside the door but those memories won't mean a thing Koromon.....If we came out of that dimension rift the wrong time and I might no longer exist!" I gaze at out home decorations beside the door. I worry.
"Tai, may I make a little suggestion? Open the door Tai," Koromon urges. I turn the handle.
"Here we go...hello? Look their shoes are here, Mom? Dad?" I call out. The house seems empty.
"No one's answering, maybe their not home," Koromon says.
"I wonder where they've gone?" I day quietly.
"Maybe they went to Digi-World, " Koromon suggests.
I don't believe he said that! "THAT'S NOT FUNNY!" I scream at him. Mom and Dad can't of gone to Digi-World. I look around and recognize something I really missed....the refridgerator. I open the door and peer in. Vegetables....eggs....sauces....ah...there it is. A can of pop. I open it and chug it down. gulp...gulp...gulp Koromon is staring at me, I bet he wants some. Koromon gets all upset that I'm hogging it. So I play along. I tell him that it was the last one, Koromon goes balistic! I tell him that I saved him half, I give the pop to him; he chugs it down. "I sure wish I knew where my family was, and how long I've been gone." I close the refridgerator and it hits me. The calendar on the refridgerator door...it says August 1. The same day we went to Digi-World.
"We're gone back in time?" Koromon asks.
"Yeah, this was the day, the digi-vices dropped into our hands and how this whole crazy adventure began," I remember taking the floating Digi-vice that just fell from the sky. All of us where so curious as to what those gadgets are. Then we were sucked into the Digi-World. This was also the day, my family planned to visit my grandparents living outside of the city. My mom even circled the dates on the calendar. They must of taken my little sister Kari with them. I tell Koromon that we'll just stay here and wait until my parents get back.
"Speaking of time, it's time to eat!" Koromon says.
"Hold your Digi-horses! I've just learnt that I 'm reliving a day I've already lived!"
"Sorry Tai..." Koromon apologizes.
"No, I'm sorry Koromon.." I explain to him that I'm confused. Am I in a parallel world? Is this really where I am? Do I have a twin living in this parallel world???
yawn......
"What was that?!" Koromon asks.
"Hi, Tai"
"Hm...Kari?! Mom and Dad left you here at home all alone?!" I ask my little sister. She doesn't seem like she's feeling well.
"I'm a big girl, hi Koromon," WHAT?! she knows who Koromon is?!
"Kari, how did you know his name?" I ask her.
"Maybe she knows my name because your sister is a lot smarter then you," Koromon says.
"CUT IT OUT! Koromon, I'm serious. Now how did you know his name was Koromon?" I ask again, getting impatient.
"I don't know, I just knew it," Kari says, innocently.
"I don't get it."
"It's like I met him before, that's why I'm not afraid." Kari says.
"Impossible! This is the first time he ever came out of Digi-World!" I explain.
"Maybe that's where we met." Kari says calmly.
"But you never been to Digi-World.....have you?" I ask, not really sure what the answer will be.
"I don't know, I think so. It's near your camp." Kari explains. I notice Kari's whistle twitch a bit. I'm so confused. Could she have gone to camp in future and got sucked in, but came before I go and she comes back before I do, and I come back after her....and...what am I thinking?! 'Sometimes I feel i'm where and when instead of there and then...' Or could Kari and I have a fever and we're both delirious?
I put my hand on her forehand, and my other hand on my forehead. I feel for a temperature. "I'm not sick and I've been to Digi-World." Kari tells me.
"No way."
"Well, I think you have. Where else do you get a Koromon?" she asks me.
"The toy store," I answer, plainly.
"Oh please"....so...she does know. I decide to leave matters at that. I go over to the phone and phone everyone to see if they all made it home safely. Their parents all say they've gone to camp. Only that I know their still in Digi-World. I was the only one pulled from the rift. If only Izzy were here. He'll know how to fix this time thing.
Kari comes over and offers her lunch that mom made. Not very appetizing, just left overs. "I get first dibs this time!" Koromon shouts out.
"I have a better idea, I'll make us a healthy breakfast," I tell the two. I go into the kitchen and crack some eggs, I flip it. Kari peeks in and asks me when I started to cook. I explain that I learnt it from Matt, he really is a good cook. I prepare some omelettes and put them on plates and I put a strip of ketchup on it. We all sit down and say, "IT'S GOOD TO BE HOME!" Then we chow down. I notice Kari trying a bite, her whole face lights up. She says she's full and pass her plate over to Koromon and I. We both chow down the remaining food. After some time, I sit back on the chair, have to say....my stomach must of bulged. Koromon gives a sigh of relief then suddenly....he jolts.....his body goes stiff and he has this weird expression in his eyes.
"So full.....ahhh...I'd better go rest," Koromon bounces off to the washroom.
"Don't hide in the bathroom," Kari says.
"How embarrassing...why do you want to hang out with a loser like me?" Koromon asks Kari.
Kari explains that on a field trip to a farm, she accidently fell in the mud. Everyone was laughing at her. She explains that her big brother (that's me!) jumped in and played with her, like she did it on purpose. "Tai does bug me, but he's a real good brother."
I give a sigh of relief. I lie down on the soft sofa, turn on the Air Conditioning and the TV. I miss so much stuff. I used to hate the wind chime but now I love it. I miss Mom scolding dad for not hanging up his shirts. I miss everything! Then I notice the news on TV. The reporter says that there are terrible weather conditions everywhere. I notice that there are Digimon here, they look like mirages but....I know their real. Fridgemon is here, snow is covering NYC. Meramon is drying out the rice paddie fields. Am I losing my mind?! Kari explains that she sees them also. Mom and Dad don't believe her, they say she just watches too many scary movies.
The TV shuts down, my digi-vice is ringing! The computer lights up. It's Izzy's face. "Can you hear me? We.....in......danger!" Izzy says, the snow and sprinkles on the screen is hard to see his face.
"Izzy?" I cry out.
"They....help....it's....Izzy.....Tai whereever you maybe...don't come back here."
"I can't leave you guys there, I maybe your only chance!" I call out.
"Digi-Monsters...total chaos."
"Wait Izzy! I need help with the Digi-Vice!"
"Your better off where you are, don't come back." Then the computer screen turns off. And that was the last I saw of Izzy. I'm hit with the sudden realization that I can't do anything. While I'm here, my friends are in trouble.
"What do we do now?" Koromon asks. Breaking the silence. Our two worlds are in danger. I know the digi-vice is powerful but how do I make it work? I tell all this to Koromon.
"What do I do? Throw the digi-vice at the monsters and hope they go away?" I say, hopeless.
"Come on Tai, relax. Eat some watermelon," Kari suggests.
I go to my room and lie on my bed, in hopes of an idea coming to me. Koromon is outside eating watermelon. By the sounds of it, he sure likes it. Outside, Koromon is happily eating watermelon, he makes a comment about loving this World, and Kari makes him realize that he might be staying here for some time. Koromon seems depressed. ring....ring...ring...
I open my eyes, telephone! I run out of my room, Kari already took it. Kari was talking to Mom. I take the receiver, Mom was explaining that she might come a bit late, there was a storm and some heavy traffic heading back home..."mom?"
"What? Tai?" I hang up the receiver. I didn't want Mom to know I was back from camp. I explain that Earth is as much trouble, we slipped through the vortex. We can do nothing until we figure out the digi-vive. This would be a break...a nice break. "Sorry Digi-bud," I look over at Koromon, he seems very depressed.
"What am I talking about? My friends are in danger cause I can't make this piece of techno junk work! and I can't do a thing about it!" I hold up the digi-vice, ready to smash it when I felt the ground moving. Is it Seadramon? I run out to the balcony and look. I see Tyranomon. I quickly put on my shoes and tell Kari to stay no matter what, then I shot out the door with Koromon. Tyranomon rises from the sea and fires at a building. I race to find Tyranomon, but when I catch up to it, it disappears like a mirage. The floor shakes again...it's Drimogamon. And just like Tyranomon, he disappears. In a store, the TV announcer reports that many people called in having said seeing monsters. He advises those viewers to seek help. Is this a dream? Everything's drifting back and forth.
Koromon can't help cause he can't digi-volve, he explains; in spite of all the food he's eaten, he can't digi-volve. I talk to him about fighting as a team. Then I see Kari running towards me. I hug Kari, but in the corner of my eye I see Koromon sulk, before I can say anything we all notice Orgemon! He's across the street, he isn't moving. It looks like he's waiting for the light to change. Other people can't see him. We all stay, hoping that he'll be like the others and disappear. The light changes and he lunges towards us! I cover Kari and I look up, Koromon is missing. Kari tells me that Koromon is fighting Orgemon single handed.
I see Koromon and Orgemon bouncing from one high rise to another. Koromon shoots his BUBBLE BLOW! Pink bubbles form, but to no use for Orgemon. "Koromon digi-volve!"
"I can't do it unless you use the digi-vice!" Koromon cries out, dodging a hit from Orgemon. That's all that he can do.
"You'll have to digi-volve without it!" I shout back, commanding him to digi-volve.
"You can do it Koromon!" Kari joins in to cheer for Koromon.
The worst happens, Orgemon knocks down a piece of a high rise. Koromon is falling with Orgemon falling toward him. My digi-vice turns on and the dimensional rift opens up. 
Koromon digivolve to.....AGUMON! yes! He's Agumon again! Agumon flips and lands on a lamp post. He aims and fires "PEPPER BREATH!" The fireball hits Orgemon, sending him flying into the rift. I see Agumon slowly float towards the rift. I call out to him. "I'm needed...in Digi-World." Then he disappeared. I run towards him, but someone's holding me back. Kari?
"Tai, stay with me," Kari pleads.
"Go wait for Mom and Dad!" I say angrily, the rift is sucking in all the debris and it's starting to close.
"Sorry"
"Why?"
"Your right, I know you have to leave," Kari apologizes.
"I really do okay?"
"Ok"
"Agumon can't digi-volve without me, this is my fight too," I explain. I raise the digi-vice towards the rift, I slowly feel myself being pulled up to the rift. I look down at my little sister.
"Please be careful," Kari tells me. I'm going to miss her.
'It was really hard watching Kati as I floated away but there was no way I could of taken her with me. I knew it would of been really risky. Besides Mom would be really angry at me if I had. But what I didn't know was Kari will soon find her own way to Digi-World.' On the table in my house, a digi-vice shines, waiting for it's owner.
We're back in business! With Agumon by my side, I know we'll find everybody, conquer the evil Digimon and find a safe route home.
