Seeing Matt in danger, Tsunomon digi-volves back to Gabumon

In and on the swan boat, Mimi, Palmon, Joe, Gomamon, Matt and Tai are pedalling to shore. Tentomon, Agumon and Gabumon are still in their early stages after their ultimate Digivolving. They arrive on shore and they meet up with Matt and the rest of them. They all start to talk and are excited to finally be back together, the only person missing is Sora. The gang all realize that they've all seen Sora some where and she helped them out too. Koromon mentions that when he was Agumon, he heard someone telling him not to eat those forgetful mushrooms. And that someone's voice sounded very much like Sora's. Mimi mentions that in her dream of evil digimon, she saw Sora, but she isn't sure if it was a dream or not.
Everyone argues that if Sora is here, then why won't she come out???
the Matt's Digivice starts to track Sora; and they set out to find her. They soon become tired and Mimi and Joe have to stop and rest. Before they can debate, a Digimon called Flymon starts attacking the kids. Izzy looks it up on the computer program Gennai gave him. He finds out that Flymon is a insectoid digimon that has a powerful stinger attack. The kids are under attack! Flymon shoots his stingers at the kids. Everyone manages to dodge the attacks. Seeing Tai in danger, Koromon digivolves back to Agumon Seeing Matt in danger, Tsunomon digi-volves back to Gabumon !
They still fail in holding the bug off. "RAAaaa" Birdramon appears from over the trees, and blasts the bug with Meteor Wing. Matt and Tai charge off, figuring Sora must be near. Sora realizes they're on their way, and tries to flee. She runs away from the group. Matt and Tai chase after her. Sora runs but is blocked by Matt on one side and Tai on the other. TK, Matt and Tai ask her, why she's running away.
Sora becomes quite emotional, because her tag and crest will not glow. She explains it all in a flash back: The day she left the group, she stumbled into a grove of old knarled trees. She saw a "little bowling bowl with wings" type of Digimon 
and he was talking to a shadowy figure throw a jelly like hole. A portal. She listened to their conversation and learnt each of the crests' names and the two's dark agenda. During her flashback, Izzy, Mimi and Joe and Digimon are crossing a river and Joe falls in. They are trying to catch up to Matt, Tai, TK and Digimon. Sora explains:
Tai has the crest of Courage
Matt the crest of friendship
TK crest of hope
Mimi the crest of sincerity
Joe the crest of reliability
Izzy the crest of knowledge
The boys ask her what her crest is….it is the crest of love. Sora gets a bit emotional. Biyomon explains that after they saw demidevimon and the shadowy figure, they headed out of the trees. Demidevimon showed up and told Sora that she can't make Biyomon evolve, because she doesn't have love inside her. Biyomon explains that after that, Sora seems destracted and didn't want to be with the group, she was afraid she'll slow the group down. The boys tell Sora that it's okay, that everybody has love inside them. But Sora denies it and starts to cry. Tai doesn't know what to do. Matt leans on a tree and looks away, saying just to leave her alone. Gabumon and Agumon both talk, saying that Matt is taking this like a real adult. "Now, if only he'll cut his hair regularly like one."
"I like you." Sora looks down and looks into the eyes of young TK. "I like you Sora. I like you because you're just like my mom. You take care of all of us." TK explains. Sora stops crying and smiles. She explains that before camp, she and her mom had a fight. Her knee was hurt and she had a soccer game to go to. Their team made it to the finals. Sora explained that her knee was fine and begged her mom to let her go. Her team had worked so hard. Sora's mom, didn't let her go. Sora's mom started to explain that she didn't want Sora to go play too many sports, possibly after school she can come down to the family flower shop and help her out. Her mom explains, that through flowers you will learn how to love something. Since, girls shouldn't be playing too much sports anyway. Sora bolts up, shaking her head and screams, "WHY?! Why don't you understand?!" Then….Sora ran out of the house. Sora ran to the soccer field, but she was too late, she made it just to see the final score. Her team lost. Her team walked out, everyone looked depressed, Sora thought it was all her fault. Her team was so depressed that they didn't even see her, as they walked by. And that is why, Sora believes that she can't love anything.
The others catch up and find Sora. By this time, Sora regained her composure.
Meanwhile, Demidevimon is talking with the dark lord: Myotismon. Myotismon tells Demidevimon to stop the kids or "his bats will have a new chew toy."
That night as the gang settled down to sleep, Demidevimon throws a giant syringe filled with who knows what at Sora. Biyomon notices just in time. Biyomon jumps in the way and takes the syringe in the back. This wakens Sora and she notices something wrong with Biyomon. "Biyomon!" Sora holds the weakened Biyomon. The rest of the kids wake up and look accusingly at Demidevimon. Then the sky grows darker. A coffin pulled by two horse-like digimon streaks across the sky. They drop the coffin, Demidevimon introduces the kids to Myotismon.
Everyone digi-volves to help out. Myotismon orders all of this bats to attack, the Digimon are able to fend them off. But then Myotismon battles them. None of the Digimon can hold him off, and Biyomon wants to go and fight in her injured state. Biyomon struggles out of Sora's arms. Sora doesn't want Biyomon to go. "Why? Why can't you understand?" Biyomon cries out. "why?! Why can't you understand?" Sora realizes that her mother was worried about her injury all the time, her mother was worried that Sora would hurt her knee some more. She realizes her mother had felt love for her, and lets Biyomon go. "Biyomon digivolve to……BIRDRAMON!"
Birdramon seems to be flying slower than usual, "METEOR WINGS!" Myotismon blocks the attack and throws an energy wave at Birdramon, Birdramon is knocked down.
Sora runs toward Birdramon. "BIRDRAMON NO! I LOVE YOU BIRDRAMON!!!!" Sora's crest begins to glow. The screen turns black and a 3D picture of Birdramon appears, the special light shining from Sora's crest of Love shines onto Birdramon. "Birdramon digi-volve to…..Garudamon!"
Garudamon is the full digi-volvultion of Birdramon. She is a giant winged warrior on two legs. Garudamon attacks Myotismon with "FIRE RING!" A firey bird emits from her and heads straight towards Myotismon. He just barely dodges it. Garudamon takes this chance and picks everyone up, including Sora. Garudamon and the kids all fly off.
They land on a shore and Sora realizes that she felt the same love her mother did. Sora understands now, that she has love. She and Yokomon hug.
Back at Myotismon's lair, he contemplates the situation. He underestimated the Digidestineds' powers. Next time, he won't be so careless.
