"Man, this desert is so hot, even a lizard would need sunscreen," Matt says. The group has been walking ever since their last adventure. Last adventure, the group found Joe's crest, but Etemon showed up with an evil version of Greymon; Scar Greymon. Tai forced Greymon to digi-volve furthur, but the change was for the worst. Greymon digi-volved to SkullGraymon! A horrible skeleton Digimon, it defeated Scar Greymon and went after the kids. Luckily for them, SkullGraymon ran out of energy and returned to Koromon.
"The crew cut would look nice on you and it'll be cooler," Tentomon says to Izzy. Everyone is feeling the affects of the sun, they are all tired and sweaty.
"Do I look fat?" Gabumon asks.
"No you look hot, especially with the fur coat," Matt answers. "That thing really needs a zipper."
"Or maybe removable shirt sleeves," Gabumon says sadly.
There is no where to sit except on a cactus. Tai notices Koromon is looking bad, he blames himself for making Koromon like that. He blames himself for being a bonehead.
Mimi comes in and offers her little bit of the advice, "don't be so hard on yourself, although come to think of it, you have made a super icky mess of things."
"Thanks, Mimi," Tai smiles warily.
"Oh don't mention it Tai, I like helping out with the pep talk every now and then," Mimi smiles. Palmon looks very depressed, she stops and thinks of shade. She imagines herself becoming a giant cactus and providing the group with shade as she smiles down and provide cool refreshing comfort. She smiles and imagines.
Everyone keeps on walking and in front of them is a giant cactus, could their wishes become granted? They go up to it, but the cactus was just a mirage, but what is this? A dome like messenger just like the one on File Island appears. "Well, well about time you got here," the familiar image of the old man, Gennai appears. Tai explains what happened when he used the crest to digi-volve Greymon furthur, he also tells him that it made him digi-volve to Koromon. They found the tags and a couple of crests, but they need to know how to use them. Jeni tells the kids, the crests and tags have to work together. "Calm down kids, let me explain. The tags and crests are extremely important. Please make sure no one else gets a hold of them. In the end you shall see they will work together in total harmony." Jeni explains. The kids are puzzled. "Just trust me. After all I'm the floating glowing guy!" Jeni explains furthur that the kids have to figure out how to take care of their Digimon, he especially tells Tai they need patience. He also talks about the Digimon not being good guardians. They care for themselves more than taking care of their friends. The Digimon are all doubting themselves if they are being taken care of properly.
"I have to admit, I'm better with computers," Izzy says.
"Don't say that," Tentomon calms Izzy down.
After the hard advice, Jeni disappears again. The kids, are depressed and in self doubt. They don't know how to take care of their Digimon. The Digimon are all ashamed that they led the kids into so much trouble. In the middle of their self doubt, they hear something. It's a boat. It looks like a fancy cruise ship. The ship stops and a Numemon in a sailor suit, shows his head. Tai asks if they can go on board. The Numemon is not sure. Mimi steps in and says they need a woman's touch. She asks the Numemon again, but this time in a sweet voice and strikes different poses. The Numemon blushes and it's love at first site. He throws down the steps, so the group can go onboard.
Onboard, the girls go to their rooms and take a relaxing bath. Meanwhile, Matt, TK, Izzy and Digimon are huddled at a table full of food. They stop and remember the time that the food was all just an illusion. After thinking for a few seconds, they all agree to eat it. Joe, Tai and Digimon are relaxing on body floats in the pool. Koromon is resting on a table with an umbrella for shade. The two crests and tags are beside him. Tai is confused and asks Joe if they really are taking good care of their Digimon. Joe doesn't know, but he does say, "we did all we could do except give them an allowance."
Far away on the starboard, a human man in a captain's suit is spying on Tai and Joe. "Ah-ha, I see them that they took the bait. They'll never forget this cruise!" The captain suit rips apart revealing...Cockatrimon. Cockatrimon is an evil-looking white chicken digimon. He goes to the control room and tries to contact Etemon. There is a black cable connecting the ship to Etemon's Network.
Inside Etemon's trailer, there is total chaos. All the tv screens are filled with static snow. "If my network's off-line, then everyone crashes, you wanna know why? Because I'm Etemon. You wanna make something of it?!" Etemon starts to sing, lights flash and smoke rises. Etemon sings, how he's great and invincible. The three Gazimons dance. Etemon is enraged, "So who gave you permission to dance?" He clubs the Gazimon and they all continue to fix the network.
Back at the ship, Cockatrimon can't contact Etemon, so he decides to take matters in his own hands. He tells all the Numemon to capture the kids and they'll get an extra slice of hard bread and maybe even jelly.
Joe and Tai are relaxing when a fish net covers them. "MUNCHING FISHES!" Gomamon calls out, the fish break the net. The Numemon get near the tags, where Koromon is. "DIGI-VOLVE!"
"Koromon digi-volve to...AGUMON!"
"He's Agumon again!" Tai calls out. Agumon spits fireballs out and scares away the Numemon. Cockatrimon comes and prepares to attack. Gomamon stands beside Agumon, preparing to battle. "PETRA FIRE!" A green glow from Cockatrimon blasts out and turns Agumon and Gomamon into stone. He takes the crests and runs.
In the dining area, Gabumon fires his "BLUE BLASTER!" and Tentomon his "SUPER SHOCKER!" and Tokomon his "BUBBLE BLAST!" The Numemon all run but Cockatrimon comes in and turns the Digimon into stone. He runs into the girl's rooms, but the Numemon can't find the girls. Cockatrimon breaks the glass bathroom door down, but girls already left. He sees a puddle of water outside, at the bottom of the window. "They won't get away from me that easily," Cockatrimon cries out.
The girls with towels wrapped around them are seen running. Cockatrimon runs in front of them and stops them. "PETRA BLAST!" The group dodges it and runs the other way. They run to the bow of the ship, they're trapped! Cockatrimon laughs and tells them that he tied up their friends and they're having a nice 'sun tan' and their digimon are staying in one place. He also shows the four, that he has Joe and Tai's tags.
"Biyomon, do your stuff!" Sora calls and holds out a digi-vice. "Biyomon digi-volve to...BIRDRAMON!!!"
"Palmon, it's your turn," Mimi says calmly and holding out her digi-vice. "Palmon digi-volve to...TOGEMON!!!"
Birdramon flys up and unleashes a shower of fiery blasts, "METEOR WINGS!" Cockatrimon, tries hard to dodge them, in the process he drops the tags. "NEEDLE SPRAY!" Togemon fires numerous needles at Cockatrimon, she winds up and sends Cockatrimon to the ship's smoke stack. The smoke stack blows up. All the Digimon return to normal and the Numemon are glad, Cockatrimon is gone. They take their sailor suits off and lower the stairs, and run out to their freedom.
The kids all get off the ship and continue walking, but back at the smoke stack, a burnt Cockatrimon gets up. The kids are walking along the desert, they hear a familiar sound and it's Cockatrimon sailing the ship straight towards them! The kids all run, they see a giant cactus. Is it real this time? They all run behind it. The ship doesn't have time to turn and hits the cactus. The ship is bounced off and explodes in the air. The kids all breath a sigh of relief.
A glow illuminates Mimi's tag, the tag floats upward toward the top of the cactus. Mimi is in shock that this is happening to her. On the very top of the cactus, a beautiful pink flower blossoms. A stone slab with an emblem comes out of the newly blossomed flower. It makes it's way to Mimi, shrinking so that it combines with her tag. "It's the crest of sincerity, I don't know what it is, but if it will help me take care of Palmon I'll take it," Mimi says.
Palmon blushes with emotion, "aww, thanks Mimi."
