Play By Email (PBeM)

This allows two people to play thoughtwave over a remote connection, Email, SnailMail etc.

Thoughtwave will automatically email the PBeM code to your opponent, which when entered into their Thoughtwave Game will play your move, and visa-versa.

For this to to work the Board must be considered to be:

RED PLAYER

numboard.gif (3561 bytes)

BLACK PLAYER

With the Red player at the North (Playing North-South), the Black player at the South (Playing West-East), and the board numbered A1-J10.  A1 being in the South-West corner and J10 the North East. (The same as Chess and Draughts)

Pieces can then be placed on the board with reference to their Board Placing (A1-J10) and their orientation.

The orientation of a piece depends on how the piece is connected.

e.g.

A TinyJunctionBlack.gif (817 bytes) is denoted by NES as the North, East and South edges are connections

A TinyBendBlack.gif (815 bytes) is denoted by NE as the North and East edges are connections.

A TinyCrossBlack.gif (816 bytes) is either denoted by NESW as its connecting edges are North, South, East and West, or alternatively as 'X' indicating the Cross Piece.
