Did Hitler Really Die
in His Bunker?

Yes, without a doubt. The box that can be seen in the photograph above actually contains his burned flesh and bones, which were carefully examined during an autopsy by a competent team of Soviet Army doctors. The teeth that were found in this ghastly mess were a perfect match for Hitler’s dental records.

Hitler's Teeth and Dentures

But in rumor the dictator lived on. Some said he had escaped from Berlin by air and from Germany by submarine.

Reports from various quarters placed him on an isle in the Baltic, or hidden by General Francisco Franco among Spanish monks in the Sierra Morena, or roughing it with sturdy bandits in the uplands of Albania, or leading a life of austerity on the windswept plateau of Tibet — or plotting the beginnings of a Fourth Reich in a retreat on the Argentine pampas.

Hitler existed in none of those places, yet even in death he retained the power to haunt the human mind in every part of the globe.
