In 2011 every country of Europe, except of Russia, was in the European
Union.
But the organisation was weak and inefficient, because the members almost
never agreed with each other.

In February 2014 Ukraine, Poland and Belarus left the EU and formed their
own pact, the East European Alliance, and at the end of the year
Scandinavia also decided to leave. After that no more countries left and
the situation became more stable, tough there still were lots of fights.

In Spring 2018 a new major crisis came: the European currency devaluated
extremely and a huge recession came. Once again countries left the EU, the
entire Balkan withdrew. The Baltic states, Moldavia, Romania and Hungary
joined the East European Alliance.
Nobody trusted the EU anymore and in the summer of 2019 it collapsed
entirely.

Europe is now divided in 6 parts: the West European Union, Scandinavia and
Iceland, Russia, East European Alliance, the Mediterranean Federation and
in the south all Islamic countries formed the United Islam nations.
You will lead one of these organisations into the next century.
