Dragonslayer’s Weapons

Dragonslayer’s Weapons is run by Eric Horsanadall , Ericis a retired fighter who claims that in his youth he slew a dragon. Whether this is true or not is another matter but what is true is that his shop stocks an impressive range of swords and other weapons

Swords.

Short sword Approxamitly 2ft in length and used as a thrusting weapon. Favoured side arm of the militia. Can only be used in melee combat. 40sp 2lb 10
Sabre A 2.5ft curved blade, used in a slashing fashion. Favoured by cavalry troops. Can only be used in melee. 40sp 3lb 4
Broadsword This weapon is about 3ft long and is the favoured weapon of most adventurers. It can only be used in melee combat. 50sp 3lb 8
Hand & A Half sword At 3.75ft long this weapon can be wielded with either one or two hands. It requires good strength and manual dexterity to wield it efficiently, but it is capable of substantial damage. It can only be used in melee combat. 85sp 6lb 4
Two handed sword This weapon is enormous, at over 4.25ft long it requires both hands to wield it. The size and weight alone means that the user needs to have substantial strength to use it. It is capable of tremendous damage in the right hands. 100sp 9lb 2

War club This weapon is simply a wooden club that has been hardened to make it better than a normal club. 5sp 3lb 2
Mace The mace is an improvement over the club, it is effectively a club with a metal head attached. 15sp 5lb 3
War hammer This weapon is effectively a workmen’s hammer modified for combat, the head tends to be wedge shaped and the claw has been replaced with a spike. 14sp 4lb 2
Flail The flail is a modified farmers tool, it was originally used for removing the grain from the rest of the wheat. Some metal strengtheners were added and a simple peasants weapon was created. 15sp 4lb 2
Goupillon flail This weapon is an improvement over the basic flail, it consists of three steel balls attached by a short chain to the haft. It is smaller than the normal flail but capable of more damage. It also requires a higher degree of manual dexterity to wield it. 20sp 4.5lb 3
Morning star The morning star is an improvement over the mace, although it weighs the same and appears to inflict the same amount of damage, it can be wielded two handed thus making it a more deadly weapon than the mace. 20sp 5lb 4
Quaterstaff The quaterstaff is a 6ft long wooden stick that in the hands of a trained warrior can be deadly. It allows the character to carry out a number of unusual types of attacks in combat. 3sp 3lb 2
