The Gates of Castle Balkra A stone road leads to the massive structure of Castle Balkra. The giagantic iron gates which lock the outer keep are swung wide open. The hardened stone walls of the castle loom about three to four stories. Battle runes and mottos are inscribed within the front stone walls. From this spot four large towers can be seen jutting out of the four corners of the castle. On each tower a Crusader banner whips in the winds. The stone blocks forming the thick structure of the outer castle gleam white in either sunlight or moonlight. Caught up in the awe of this castle you almost overlook the Samurai eyeing you before the gates. If you're an intruder your awakening is a rude one as he delivers a devastating assualt. The Halls of Memory You stand in a grand open space just inside the keep of the castle. The ceiling arches overhead, forming a large dome of stone which travels a long ways into the Keep. The walls and the floors ae cut from the finest grade of stone. The placement of each stone is with near perfection, impressing anyone with the knowledge of architecture. Numerous pictures of famed battles entirely cover the walls and ceilings and infamous Crusader legends adorn the hall in the form of lifelike marble statues. The glory of the past thrives with life as one walks the halls of memories. [Exits: east west] The Halls of Memory Any sound created in this hall echoes down the large stretch of the stone domed ceiling. The finely polished stones that make up the walls and floor are scattered with works of art. Paintings display the tales of Crusader immortals. Scenes of great battles between the Crusader gods and their divine enemies jump out in vivid colors and detail. A feeling of awesome power entirely foreign to mortal experience surges though many of the works of art. Large marble statues representing the titans themselves line the long stone hall. The mere act of traveling past the statues evokes an overwhelming sense of awe. [Exits: east west] The Inner Keep This is the heart of the Castle Balkra. The massive stone ceiling of the inner keep arches overhead. Oversized Roman arches are formed from large granite stones, allowing entrance or exit in all the cardinal directions. Suits of various armors decorate this well traveled hall at various spots. The grey stone floor is polished to a near mirror shine. [Exits: north east south west] Such a sweet little thing, so cute and soft. Its ears are large and fuzzy, its eyes huge, its teeth long and sharp like razors... um... Suddenly this bunny does not seem to be a normal bunny, but rather, that dreaded creature from the nightmares of children... The Vorpal Bunny! Vorthin is in perfect condition. Foyer to the Altar Room The Roman arches continue from the Inner Keep, gracefully overlooking this quiet spot. The granite floor below has been polished to near mirror shine. Suits of armor decorate the north and south walls, and in between those suits a colorful shield representing a family which has given several generations of honorable warriors to the service of the Crusade. They are colorful, but most are badly dented and one shows signs of scorching. [Exits: east west] The Altar of The Never Ending Crusades You stand in the most sacred room in Castle Balkra. The Altar of The Never Ending Crusades sits forth in the middle of the room. Marble stairs form a circular island of stone in which a spartan block of granite rests. Inside the altar lies the War Gauntlet which is guarded day and night by the Wise one. It is rumored that to touch the Gauntlet of War with an unpure warrior's soul is to incure the wrath of the gods of war. Beautiful large rectangular stained glass windows display scenes of warriors cutting down vile magicians practicing their twisted arts. As the day matures, sunlight passes through the stained glass showering the altar with a rainbow of colors. Crusaders feel an inner sense of devotion while those whom are consumed by mortal magics feel repelled while near this holy altar. A large minotaur stands before, towering a little over 8 feet tall. Long, curved black horns add another 2 feet to his height, and he looks around, impassively. His deep set, expressive green eyes are almost hidden by the layers of thick, coarse black hair that cover his body, and he appear unkempt, with branches and leaves matted into his fur. The clothing he wears is limited, with a leather vest over a forest-green tunic the first thing you notice. Brown trousers cover his legs, with leather leggings adding that protective touch. Around his neck, he wears a simple necklace of a dagger, symbol of his rank in the Clan of Steel. A staff strapped across his back completes the minimal ensemble. In all, he poses a rather feral creature, as if the just stepped out of the forest for the first time in twenty years. Auroch is in perfect condition. He is dressed all in black, and you see him carrying an assortment of bludgeoning weapons. The figure's face, hands, and armor are all black, typical of the drow. His hair is the same pure white as the rest of his dread kindred, but it looks less lustrous than it used to be. His movements are erratic, implying his impulsive thoughts. The symbols of the zealot adorn his armor, etched along with the symbols of pain and of the Lemniscate. An old and obviously ill-regarded medal of the Army of Armageddon is pinned to his cloak. This medal apparently wasn't something he took a lot of pride in, despite his high position in this long gone army. A medallion of a sundered elf skull with a pair of crossed scythes and a crown overhead is attached to the front of his breastplate. On him carries the brand of the Living Battleaxe of Honor, battle and natural order. Together with this is a long scar across his left side of his face from below his eye to the lower of his jaw. This is the scar that marks his day when he was branded. Walking proudly, he seems to be a person that you could trust and be a friend with. The granite floor below has been polished to near mirror shine. Suits of armor decorate the north and south walls, and in between those suits a colorful shield representing a family which has given several generations of honorable warriors to the service of the Crusade. The Inner Keep This is the heart of the Castle Balkra. The massive stone ceiling of the inner keep arches overhead. Oversized Roman arches are formed from large granite stones, allowing entrance or exit in all the cardinal directions. Suits of various armors decorate this well traveled hall at various spots. The grey stone floor is polished to a near mirror shine. [Exits: north east south west] (Red Aura) An ancient, shortlegged, and obviously grumpy dwarf patiently observes his surroundings. Gryleth leaves west. The Halls of Memory Any sound created in this hall echoes down the large stretch of the stone domed ceiling. The finely polished stones that make up the walls and floor are scattered with works of art. Paintings display the tales of Crusader immortals. Scenes of great battles between the Crusader gods and their divine enemies jump out in vivid colors and detail. A feeling of awesome power entirely foreign to mortal experience surges though many of the works of art. Large marble statues representing the titans themselves line the long stone hall. The mere act of traveling past the statues evokes an overwhelming sense of awe. [Exits: east west] The Halls of Memory You stand in a grand open space just inside the keep of the castle. The ceiling arches overhead, forming a large dome of stone which travels a long ways into the Keep. The walls and the floors ae cut from the finest grade of stone. The placement of each stone is with near perfection, impressing anyone with the knowledge of architecture. Numerous pictures of famed battles entirely cover the walls and ceilings and infamous Crusader legends adorn the hall in the form of lifelike marble statues. The Gates of Castle Balkra A stone road leads to the massive structure of Castle Balkra. The giagantic iron gates which lock the outer keep are swung wide open. The hardened stone walls of the castle loom about three to four stories. Battle runes and mottos are inscribed within the front stone walls. From this spot four large towers can be seen jutting out of the four corners of the castle. On each tower a Crusader banner whips in the winds. The stone blocks forming the thick structure of the outer castle gleam white in either sunlight or moonlight. Caught up in the awe of this castle you almost overlook the Samurai eyeing you before the gates. If you're an intruder your awakening is a rude one as he delivers a devastating assualt. Sheltered by this wall of stones, a small cluster of plants have sprung up. In the center of this group of trees and bushes is a huge gnarled tree. It appears to have been twisted and torn by the forces of nature. It sways and moans as a strong wind from the south tears through its old feeble branches. Nixalis seems to glower and look deadly. Restin watches the flames rise into the sky. Jord kneels and lays his staff on the ground in farewell. Kymranth begins a rhythmic, mystical chant. Darkwood the fire burns higher and quicker and ashes are carried to the air. All that is left is a memory.
