In the midst of all the trading that takes place on a typical Sunday morning at Bob's house, sometimes someone says something that leads to a challenge, and this was Karl's morning. No one is really sure what was said, but soon Bob and Dan had 2 orcish armies staring down the infamous (and never tested)Ancient Venomous Shadow Dragon. In his usual fashion, Karl could already smell the stench of defeat, but also in classic "Karl form" he accepted the challenge. Here's what we're looking at.

Karl:

    BIG BLUE DRAGON

    TOTAL = 464

Dan's Army:

  • Chaos Mage - 45
  • Ironclad*** - 35
  • Clurch Piper* - 15
  • Barber Surgeon*** - 19

  • Snurga Longstrike - 31
  • Launcher*** - 31
  • Clurch Piper** - 18

  • 2X Goblin Volunteer* - 5 each
  • Shaman*** - 28

    TOTAL = 230

Bob's Army:

  • Chaos Mage - 45
  • Snurga Longstrike - 31
  • Clurch Piper* - 15
  • Shaman** - 23

  • Ironclad*** - 35
  • Ironclad** - 31
  • Clurch Piper* - 15
  • Half-Troll Hacker - 31
  • Goblin Volunteer* - 5

    TOTAL = 231

Tension rose as the terrain was decided on, and Karl was sweating. Bob and Dan could smell the fear, or maybe it was just the rotting flesh stuck in the dragons teeth, but whatever it was both sides agressively moved towards the center of the battlefield. Would the orcs prevail, or would the hoarde just become "the other green meat"?

The orcs were ill prepared and Karl flexed his muscles as he easily dispatched Bob's chaos mage in a single turn. Dan and Bob conviened and came to the conclusion that the dragon must be stratigically pinned down before they lost another chaos mage. The orcs quickly surrounded the dragon in an "L" formation followed by an agressive move by Bob's Ironclad formation. But unfortunately the precautions didn't protect Dan's chaos mage from suffering the same fate as Bob's, taking his place in the belly of the beast.

But too much pushing was taking it's toll on the battle-weary dragon, and Bob's Ironclad's managed to finish off it's left wing. Eventually with Snurgas blasting and melee figures taking their respective shots the situation looked grave for the once mighty dragon. Within minutes of the loss of his left wing the dragon became fatigued and drew his last breaths. There was much rejoicing...

However Karl, being the kind of guy he is, was a terrific sport...

Karl's a little camera shy

WINNER: DAN AND BOB
